I own this bike. Can only recommend. Good for all types of riding, including touring 1000’s of miles. More power than I’ll ever need on the road. Super comfy and easy to ride. Have no problems with the display.

I have the 2016 GSX-S1000 naked version and got it turned up and it’s a hoot, weights nearly nothing at 425lbs and has 151hp after a bunch of mods and tuning! I love it thing is a rocket off the line to! I have friends with regular liter bikes and anytime we do a hit I always pull away at first then they run me down and blow around me at like 120mph, but till then my bike is actually quicker! I chalk it up to the low gearing and different torque curve! I got the low end they got the top end.

I have this bike.. some clips on my channel too. Picked it up for 12.9k OTD in CA at the end of 2022 and did a bunch of upgrades. Exhaust, ecu tune, suspension, damper etc. One thing it definitely needs imo that's a must have and not a want is the shock in the rear if ones doing serious canyon runs but for the price and what you get you can't beat it with a baseball bat! Love mine and totally happy with it!! Previous bikes owned? Suzuki gsxr 750, 1000 Honda cbr 600rr,1000RR's Ktm rc8r, fz07, R1, Ninja 1000, Harleys, Guzzies etc. This bike checks all the boxes!

Just picked up my ‘24 after riding the 2016 for over 6 years. Your review is spot on; it’s a great bike! This and the street triple is the best value for the money out there. Only thing I have left to do is the exhaust. Will likely go with the arrow headers and yoshi slip-on.

and it has gear position indicator, gas gauge, TC level, and all the other stuff - no probs. Only thing that has caught me out is that there is no fuel warning light. oops.

The bike moves like a monster and looks very well finished with adjustable suspensions, but the screen 13:44 seems like difficult to read, no?? It´s not the typical color/Led display, is like a gameboy screen black and white, and i don´t know why Suzuki did this, because seems hard to read the numbers. What do you think?

I am in the UK and own a 2022 Kawasaki ZH2 with 217.6 bhp at the back wheel owned it for 5 months now and i am selling it and buying one of these Suzuki GSX S1000. the ZH2 is way to much for the road and a straight line missile wish i had test road it before i bought it its just not flickable in the twisties like the GSXS or my old MT10 SP. Only reason i am not going back to an MT10 is fuel range as i tour Europe every year.I think Suzuki are making the best value bikes on the market now
Ray, I absolutely love your review style. Keep up the great work. I just picked up a 24 gsx-s1000 in blue & white. I've owned over 12 bikes including a 22 Hayabusa, 21 ZX14r, 23 1250GS and a bunch of Harleys. The Suzuki GSX-S1000 is my absolute favorite of all time. It is so underrated and I agree that 150hp is the max usable for the street. The only thing I would add to your review is to warn people that this isn't a beginners bike. It has a wicked amount of power and is super nimble. A deadly combo for most beginners.
There's similar Suzuki model for beginners (GSX-S950) with 95hp which you can lower to 47hp (A2 driving licence cat). It is ca 3000USD cheaper and if you gain more experience you can unlock it to full 150hp.
Between the v twin still used in the strom and the 1000 mill, I think Suzuki probably set the standard of reliability and consistency. As times change they’ve adapted but both of those engines just go and go.

Probably around a 1000 for freight and prep - and then your Tax title and license, it depends on what state your in . But the price of the bike is what I said it was.
In FL I am being quoted at $14,862.12. Seems overpriced with thousands added as "Destination, Assembly and Dealer Services". Their Unit price alone is $11,188.00. Another dealer offered $12,850.00 out the door, verbally. Did not offer itemized breakdown. What are others getting quotes at?

I really really like it but the display just doesn't do it for me I chose to go with the GSXS 1000 GT instead same bike almost just different fairings I believe but they have installed a TFT display there so I do not understand why they didn't just move that over on this one.

I still can't believe they haven't put the TFT display on this. It's been on the GSX S GT and GX, and the cheaper 8S and 8R since they launched. Why this bike is stuck with the old LCD makes no sense. Should have cruise control too.
I like it a little better than the Z900 in the front end department, it's truly an amazing bike that's under priced! And power wise- man that's a tough one to call!! Agreed, one heck of a value! However, I picked up a '18 mt10 2 summers ago for cheap. It had 950mi, got it for $9200, basically new bike. Found 🎉a new Yoshimura Alpha "T" 3/4 decat system for $600 and a $300 2WDW flash and I dare you to find anything that will bring a 💩-eatin grin to your face like this thing will😮

Hahaha funny I have a 2005 GSXR Hayabusa what would they do with that bike I'm lucky I got a speedometer on it and gas gauge and tachometer that's it nothing else LOL never had a problem never need anything else still have the bike to this day 11,000 out the door. Ran through a lot of rain storms with the bike never had a problem no rain mode just go slow and use common sense no problems.

I bought that thing new last year in Germany- blue-white. It has 0 miles and i have it not registeted because the weather condition was bad and i also own a GSX-R 750 from 2015 - Cant wait to ride the GSX-S 1000- If my wife would know that i have 2 bikes she would bite my balls of - so i hide it in my garage a few miles away - So never mind what your wife says or thougt - Just live your dream - there are many wifes out there but only one dream-machine 🎉😂❤Payed 11.800€ with Wind protection
You can literally buy two of these for the price of your M1000R and have money left over for lots of mods and a full set of new riding gear. Is it twice the bike? Maybe, but like you said the Suzuki is the better street bike. The GSX-S1000 has been the best kept secret in motorcycles since 2016 and it remains that way. It will be a shame when Suzuki decides to give it the axe. The biggest problem Suzuki has right now is the 8R and 8S are on promo financing for 1.99% or 2.99% respectively, the S1000 is 10.49%. Suzuki must be joking with that. They won’t sell any of these until it’s on promo financing. There’s already no demand for this bike and they aren’t doing anything to help sell it.

Speaking of the wife... I just went today after work to trade in my '21 Z900 towards the purchase of a '24 GSX-S1000 she doesn't know and won't until it's in the garage.... i owned this bike, liked it allot and not many minus points. To bad Suzuki use a ugly ass screen with bad visibility. If they use the screen from the GT its much better

It's not considered a hyper naked. It doesn't have enough hp to meet hyper naked standards. It has a 2005 gixxer 1k bottom end, 2008 gixxer 1k head and 2005 gixxer 1k cams. I swapped to 2008 gixxer 1k cams also. I have a little more power up top. But its still not hyper naked.
It has a k5 engine from 2005 with revised valve train and cams. I don't know what in tf you are talking about, but it is a hyper naked (classifed officially) and is a liter bike with very comparable power to its race siblings. You obviously do not own a motorcycle.

I own a blue '23 model. Love the bike. Put an air filter, velocity stacks, full exhaust, get a flash and it really wakes the bike up.

What is the outdoor price on a bike like this?
Probably around a 1000 for freight and prep - and then your Tax title and license, it depends on what state your in . But the price of the bike is what I said it was.
I bought the same bike from them. I paid $12k out the door.
In FL I am being quoted at $14,862.12. Seems overpriced with thousands added as "Destination, Assembly and Dealer Services". Their Unit price alone is $11,188.00. Another dealer offered $12,850.00 out the door, verbally. Did not offer itemized breakdown. What are others getting quotes at?

I really really like it but the display just doesn't do it for me I chose to go with the GSXS 1000 GT instead same bike almost just different fairings I believe but they have installed a TFT display there so I do not understand why they didn't just move that over on this one.

I still can't believe they haven't put the TFT display on this. It's been on the GSX S GT and GX, and the cheaper 8S and 8R since they launched. Why this bike is stuck with the old LCD makes no sense. Should have cruise control too.

I like it a little better than the Z900 in the front end department, it's truly an amazing bike that's under priced! And power wise- man that's a tough one to call!! Agreed, one heck of a value! However, I picked up a '18 mt10 2 summers ago for cheap. It had 950mi, got it for $9200, basically new bike. Found 🎉a new Yoshimura Alpha "T" 3/4 decat system for $600 and a $300 2WDW flash and I dare you to find anything that will bring a 💩-eatin grin to your face like this thing will😮

Hahaha funny I have a 2005 GSXR Hayabusa what would they do with that bike I'm lucky I got a speedometer on it and gas gauge and tachometer that's it nothing else LOL never had a problem never need anything else still have the bike to this day 11,000 out the door. Ran through a lot of rain storms with the bike never had a problem no rain mode just go slow and use common sense no problems.

It has 0 miles and i have it not registeted because the weather condition was bad and i also own a GSX-R 750 from 2015 - Cant wait to ride the GSX-S 1000- If my wife would know that i have 2 bikes she would bite my balls of - so i hide it in my garage a few miles away - So never mind what your wife says or thougt - Just live your dream - there are many wifes out there but only one dream-machine 🎉😂❤Payed 11.800€ with Wind protection

You can literally buy two of these for the price of your M1000R and have money left over for lots of mods and a full set of new riding gear. Is it twice the bike? Maybe, but like you said the Suzuki is the better street bike. The GSX-S1000 has been the best kept secret in motorcycles since 2016 and it remains that way. It will be a shame when Suzuki decides to give it the axe. The biggest problem Suzuki has right now is the 8R and 8S are on promo financing for 1.99% or 2.99% respectively, the S1000 is 10.49%. Suzuki must be joking with that. They won’t sell any of these until it’s on promo financing. There’s already no demand for this bike and they aren’t doing anything to help sell it.

Speaking of the wife... I just went today after work to trade in my '21 Z900 towards the purchase of a '24 GSX-S1000 she doesn't know and won't until it's in the garage.... I'll sleep on the couch for a night or so and it will be ok after that. But if I ask before she'll say no and I'll be sad for a lifetime.

It's not considered a hyper naked. It doesn't have enough hp to meet hyper naked standards.
It has a 2005 gixxer 1k bottom end, 2008 gixxer 1k head and 2005 gixxer 1k cams. I swapped to 2008 gixxer 1k cams also. I have a little more power up top. But its still not hyper naked.
Hmm ok- well it sure runs dang good , that was one of my most favorite bike rides!
It has a k5 engine from 2005 with revised valve train and cams. I don't know what in tf you are talking about, but it is a hyper naked (classifed officially) and is a liter bike with very comparable power to its race siblings. You obviously do not own a motorcycle.
