I just want to say, it has been a difficult week. Waiting for the outcomes of various doctor visits for dad (still feeling grateful he's out of the hospital! and he has had some "wins" this week), having the feeling around the house that I'm "just getting through"- not with my usual zest. Trying to parent three youngsters and allow myself to laugh even though another side of me is stressed. Seeing our world on the news and feeling such fear for people. You might think, gosh Em, then take a break from making videos! But they are always a bright spot. A place I feel I can funnel my happy (because it's very much in there) even during harder times personally. They are something I feel I am given God's grace to do, and continue to do with enthusiasm. Some of you say that these videos help you get through hard times... well honey, they help me just the same. If you're at a challenging spot in life, please know that you are not alone. We will all keep putting one foot in front of the other and never stop looking for things to be grateful for. I love you!

As you were talking about the CT Magic Cream, I was thinking the jar could be used for a tea light candle. I would clean the jar out and put a battery operated tea light candle in it. Does anyone remember the Ralph Lauren Safari fragrance? The body cream came in a beautiful jar. I kept mine and now use it with a candle.
For really pretty skincare jars I like to refill them with other creams in complicated or unattractive packaging so it still feels luxurious but money saving in a way.
I definitely agree with your assessment of Bobbie Brown’s skin moisturizer. My skin loves it!

When you finish your sunscreens, you might consider the Cocokind SPF 30 at Target. It's good quality and reasonably priced but also plays well under makeup. And I'm sensitive so you know it's pretty darn good. 💋🥰

I love kiss lash glue. It makes lashes stay on for a long time. I also have issues with eye irritation and I never had an issue with it.

Oh Emily, I hauled away last night. I first went to e.l.f. and got more Cookies N Dreams for me. I sent the other to my niece. Then on to Ulta and got the new Nars and other stuff and back to Amazon twice. I had so much fun now I have got to put the brakes on but it sure was fun.

I think a Demi wispy style (look to Ardell or Salon Perfect) would be a good choice. Thick enough to make an impact but not too long
OMG the reason I stopped practicing with false lashes ... When I switched to progressives, the lens curvature changed significantly, so if my lashes are just long enough, they hit the top center of my glasses. ANNOYING. 🙄

Great video! Love the dark vampire red lippie! I've been using Simple brand micellar water; it doesn't have all the fermented fruits that your IT stuff does, but it does have a much shorter ingredients list, so less opportunity for irritation I think. And it's way cheaper, $7. for 13.5 oz. versus $38. for 8.5 oz. I wish I could afford the IT, but I've had good results and no irritation.
You are so generous with your time and energy in these videos, and I have no idea how much time you spend in your other formats. I just hope you're saving time and energy for yourself and your family. Holding good thoughts for your father's recovery!

What would be some inexpensive dupes for the Bobbi Brown face cream? I’m a senior and just don’t want to spend THAT much money on a moisturizer anymore when there are many awesome ones at Target or the drug store! TY!
I love Bobbi brown face base.. but man it’s so pricey. And as someone who has an embarrassingly large (mostly prestige) collection, I still can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on a $100 + moisturizing primer.
Although it doesn’t feel identical, tyke closest thing to it I’ve ever used is the Glossier rich primer. I have repurchased that 3x in the big daddy size. And that’s bad enough cost wise

The bioderma regular micellar water (the pink one), is so great! I use it every morning instead of really washing my face so it doesn’t dry out too much. But I still feel like my face is clean.

I wanted to share one of mine with you and your followers . You may or may not have heard of Christopher Duffy. A young man now, he is blind and autistic and has the voice of an angel. No matter how many times I have heard him sing "Open the Eyes of my Heart", at the age of 10, I cry every single time. Take a few minutes sometime to hear him (maybe without makeup though!) Hi Emily! I find the Essence Curl & Volume mascara flakes (a lot) on me. I had the same thing happen with the Disney Princess Volume mascara too, but not with the I Love Extreme Volume formulation. Am I missing something or maybe just ended up with old bottles??

Do you use the vitamin base before or after sunscreen? I love it, but I feel like the benefits are wasted when I have to put on sunscreen.
Sunscreen is always the last step. Your regular skincare steps should absorb a bit before applying SPF. Plus moisturizer with oils on top will break down the sunscreen ingredients faster - hence less effective. You want serums and antioxidants, etc., on the first layer to penetrate better. Dr. Dray has some videos about skincare routines that are decent. Hope that helps!
Juicyjas got me hooked on the Uoma beauty one and done brow styler. I previously used elf’s skinny brow pencil and then wow brow, but they don’t sell dark brown in the pencil anymore. I tried so many other pencils and couldn’t find a shade match until trying the Uoma beauty shade 8 and now I have a pencil and gel all in one product. It’s so good💜

You should try cutting into that foundation because it has a lot more in there.
I wish BB made a Face Base without essential oils bc they irritate my skin. Also, the Garnier micellar water is said to be a dupe for Bioderma Sensibio but I've used Bioderma daily for yrs without issue and the Garnier version caused one of the worst reactions I've ever had. I went away for a long weekend and forgot my Bioderma so I picked up a Garnier mini and, after just one use, I woke up with red, itchy, inflamed skin from my cheeks down my neck. My skin was warm to the touch and this reaction lasted all 4 days I was away. I've always had ultra sensitive, reactive and acne prone skin so I know what ingredients to avoid and although nothing jumped out at me on the Garnier ingredients list, my skin definitely hated something abt it.

I haven’t worn makeup much since the pandemic began and I have been decluttering old products and ow I find myself in a place I haven’t been in over 10 years. A small collection and actually not having anymore things that are so basic like a neutrals eye palette. Wonder if that could be a video idea for you? What to get now. Also I feel so old school that I have problems using newer formulas that are so pigmented and different from 2015 at the peak of my collection days.
