Daniel Predicted the Timing of the Messiah

How did Jesus see himself? As we learn about Jesus' Jewish context in the first century, we find that he made some staggering claims. First of all, Jesus spoke constantly about God's kingdom. He also said he was the Son of Man. And he said he came to be cut off, or to die. Jesus' first-century Jewish audience would recognize that he was saying he was the Messiah because he was referring to three prophecies in Daniel 2, 7 and 9. It's astonishing is how much Jesus fits these specific prophecies.
