When I was a kid we had Genesis with just MK2 game on it. So we 've been playing it days and nights so one of controllers broke down having UP always pressed. One day I used only jumps with low punches as Shang Thung and attempted to do 2nd Fatality but to my surprise he transformed to Kintaro I dropped my jaw on the floor as my oponnent. We had no cheat books and finding it was a miracle. But we couldn't repeat it no matter how hard we tried 'cause the concept of button being pressed before Finish Him screen was too hard for us.
It's crazy how we've basically circled back to this kind of thing with performance capture, but it just doesn't hit the same when it's all so detailed.

I still remember the ice grenade fatality to this day lol Hold LP at full screen back back down forward then release LP !! Made a lotta dudes mad as hell at the Dream Machine back in the day !!

This is definitely the best and most complete finishers vid for MK2. The only thing missing was the Fergality. Supersweet vid otherwise. Even though I own this game (Genesis port) I haven't played it in a while and I actually forgot how far some of these fatalities pushed the envelope, even in the 16 bit era.
I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment thank you for that. As for the Fergality that was a Sega exclusive this is the MKII that was in the Arcade, I'm happy you feel it's the best and most complete. For me I pride myself on that.

Which MK? Or as a whole? MK as a whole I think it's a pretty cool concept and has been an amazing series for years. I honestly lost faith in them after MK4 though, MK4 was "Ok" in my opinion but it was to big of a change, I understand the time date and why they made a transition into 3D but to me MK should have stuck to their roots. MK9 honestly is the first MK game that I've enjoy'd since MK4 so hopefully they stick with it and bring us somethin' big again for MK10.
I'm trying to practice more I'm not going to get a chance to really practice to much today but tomorrow after I get off work and my class I'll see what's up maybe start recording Thursday or Friday. Might not be anything special but see what's up. I did a few player matches and did pretty good then I met a few people that really put in a lot of time and was like nice, I got work to do hahaa. If you play on the Xbox 360 hit me up we can run a few matches. I haven't got'n it for the PS3 yet.
@@piedramultiaristas8573 based on eBay, this is based on UK prices where I am, a SNES version is between $55 to $80. A genesis/megadrive version is between $24 to $35. Versions on the Saturn and 32x are considerably more going for well over $100. Amazon don't seem to currently have any copies at all. If you wanted an actual arcade machine version you're looking at $1200 plus. Specialists who stock it are more expensive than eBay. Based on what I've seen eBay is your best option.

omg thank you. i have watched alot of mkII fatality videos and you are the first to do johnny's other fatality. all the others did his uppercut and triple uppercut fatalites but not the torso rip fatality.
It's one of them things, you can only do so much. A few of the Fatalities in MK9 are different variations of stuff that's already been done but can be in more detail do to it being graphics instead of real people.
I'm sayin' you can download the MK:AK off Steam it's good I just personally don't feel it's as good as this one. The one on steam will be way better then your SNES emulator your using.
Anyone have a strategy for actually getting somewhere in this game? I've tried a few times in the MK:AK version of MKII (on PC) to beat Jax, who always seems to be my first opponent when I play on Normal, and I can never beat him. I usually use Sub-Zero for his Ice Puddle move (which is useful when the opponent actually walks into it) and Scorpion for his Spear Throw (which works when the computer doesn't block it every time) and the Teleport Punch (again, when it isn't blocked). I'm alright at the other two games in MK:AK, though usually I get my ass beaten later in MK1's ladder and I might as well stop if Jade is thrown at me in UMK3.

The pit glitches every time, because when it goes from the side view to the overhead view of them falling it only shows the default skin, which is the first player. So the clothes switch colors from side view to overhead view every time
they should use this "fatality" voice in all the MK games. is so awesome and dark, I love it.
