He obviously already had the battery pack already disconnected because it is not an easy task. Need tips on how to disconnect the battery. It is near impossible even with small hands.

I actually got it, the little end piece helps release the bottom and it's really just a matter of how you pinch it. Needle nose pliers with a little care can get it for anyone who can't fit their hand in there. I managed to get it by hand but I will message you with another issue I'm having. Thank you!

This is disgraceful that they would make something this difficult. I was sent a replacement unit where I had to remove the battery and put it in a new machine. The battery would not release. I had to use forceps to get enough light to try and see what I was doing, the battery would not release and a top part of the connection broke off. I did call a gentleman in their support area who made this as easy as he could for me. He shipped me a brand new unit battery with the battery installed. It was still under warranty. So Shark did a good job of satisfying me. If I have to replace a battery down the road and run into any trouble I will take it to Best Buy where I bought it and let the Geek Squad fiddle with it.
We're truly sorry for any inconvenience on this, Kreg. We want to thank you for your feedback regarding the battery. We've forwarded this feedback off to the appropriate team.
