  • Nothing Quite Like a Visit to the Original Reefapalooza in Orlando. It is still a lot of fun to visit the original Reefapalooza in Orlando, see the big crowds, new equipment, and old friends, and get excited about the hobby again. Checking in with Tullio, who always has something interesting about lighting up his sleeve, he introduces us to PARWise by CoralVue. We then talk about the upgrade on the Varios pump by Reef Octopus with Jeremy from Coralvue and the new modular Hydros controller by Coralvue with Carlos. A lot is going on, so we will have more to come. Enjoy

Hydros system is great been using it for almost a year and continue to add additional components. Very easy to use.

Hydros components are built very well and their customer service is A+. If you don’t get the help needed when you fill out a ticket, you’ll can always talk live with a rep (either Carlos or Conner) keep up the good work guys..

Like the videos, but it was hard to hear Carlos as the mic was with Rasheed and not pointed to Carlos - maybe use those mics that attach to their shirt so you don't have to hold a mic

    Awesome!
Rashid asked such a great question to Jeremy w/CoralVue …Man I totally need extenders for my Varios controllers!
Currently they’re the only controllers that aren’t mounted to my control cabinet board because the cables were too short.
    Glad I watched this! Cheers
(Fingers crossed CoralVue has the extenders in stock;)

I wanted to go with GHL but my LFS is trying to push me to Hydros. Can't make my decision. Want medical grade for accuracy. They swear hydros is as good if not better then GHL. Opinions?

I’ve had Hydros and switched to Apex it wasn’t bad but medical grade I don’t know about that. The probes maybe but the quality of the product was meh if I’m being honest. My ATO sensor rusted in less than a year. Crazy to think that a sensor meant for salt would rust that quickly. I had the wave system and it completely died under a year as well. They did replace it for me but after a week of communicating then I had to wait for shipping.
I liked the idea of hydros but the quality is not top of the line in my opinion. I’ve never tried GHL just my experience with it.

Also the wifi is horrible on the hydros with the power brick. Mind you this was the first one they came out with. Not sure if they updated a few things. But I had a real hard time with hydros staying on Wi-Fi.

@@marcelosimon4972 they have two options...XP8, which is far superior than the EB832, as well as the wifi bar....if you don't have a proper wifi system to handle a wifi bar (i.e. access points), you're better off with the XP8...its all about options...I personally have two XP8s and 5 wifi power bars...the wifi bars have been running for over 2 years with no issues....the wifi bars are great when running equipment in other rooms and not having to hardwire everywhere...in example, I use them for the automatic water changes in other room which is also incorporated with my system making RODI using a Hydros TDS meter (something APEX doesn't have)...it'll cut off the making of water once the TDS meter reads 1ppm so that your RODI reservoir isn't contaminated

@@marcelosimon4972 Apex is cheap plastic and prone to fires unfortunately...btw, I never seen your name in the Hydros forums...I find it odd that your sensor rusted considering the wet side is made of glass/plastic...mine are over 2 years old with no rust...odd
