    I've been looking at these for a while now, the only thing that puts me off of them is having to reach around to the back wheels to adjust them. Not so easy it you don't have much room to squeeze your hand in 🤔

      Mate I have the same problem. Can easily get to 3 but the one in the back corner is awkward. Just gonna leave that one on the wheel & only raise the other 3 just enough to hold the bench in place. That way if I need to move it its easy.

    Good find Dave I’ll have to keep my eye out for next time there on offer, great video 😃👍

    One Britt’s video I had watched (where I discovered this style leveling castor, that I like since they are out of the way compared to others) made a wooden tool with teeth that fit the finger leveling wheel. All he had to do is give it a stroke or two across the thumb wheel and, very quickly they were set and level!

    I see Amazon stores using the Footmaster model numbers of GD-60F but are "Foot Castor" brand, a generic. Your listing is outdated but I found a similar posting of $36 for a set of 4; Foot Castor that copies the GD-60F. Considering Footmasters are $32 a piece there has got to be a difference in quality. I don't think Footmaster charges what they do for the hell of it. Something to consider, but I think I'm going to roll the dice on the Foot Castors. $100 cheaper and has a 4.6 rating across 99 ratings.

    I could really use something like that. Hopeful they can make a version that I can connect to my Alexa to automate the process and I dont have to get down to adjust it. LOL

    These things are an absolute faff to use, down on your hands and knees and very expensive. Have a look for the side mounted, foot operated levelling casters - they are far superior.

    • @owenjones-wells9395
      @owenjones-wells9395 9 месяцев назад

      Yes, but the foot operated type are a trip hazard, and prevent the bench being pushed tight to a wall.
      I don't disagree though, these ones in the video are a faff, I have to reach under my bench to get to the far corner, but its the best option I could find.

    is it easy to lower the castor under load? I worry that a heavy workbench will make it difficult to turn the adjuster.

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  Год назад +1

      They are easy enough to adjust it just takes longer as you have to get down & adjust each one. OK for me as I don't move the workbench constantly but if it something you move all the time I can see it being annoying

    So if these casters are at max load, can you twist these by hand to lift these up?

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  Год назад

      I havnt had them at max load but my bench was very heavy with saw & other buts stored underneath & they were still easy to adjust by hand

    How stable is the table after fitting these dave ?

    • @GrumpysWorkshop4
      @GrumpysWorkshop4  2 года назад

      The wheels are very sturdy. They are a tad awkward to adjust as you have to bend down to lower or raise them. Not a problem for me as I don't move my bench much. Just something to consider
