@sailingavanti4902 Hi, it's always nice to get back home but soon the need to get back on a sea adventure starts to call. I've done lots of solo adventures but now I can't anymore due to health issues. I still have a yacht but haven't sailed her in three years now. But I did sail enough to say I did it. I have 88000 NM logged and more than that I'd say unlogged. Started sailing when I was 14 I'm 65 now. So do what you can do while you are young then there's no regret one day. I'm busy building a Bluetooth autohelm at the moment as a project and a model of the Queen Mary 2 which will be a RC model, cabin lights the works. Enjoy.
Amazing guys, got rather emotional watching this from the UK. What an awesome adventure and being with you throughout your journey. Thanks Gerard and Jackie ❤
I am preparing for a singlehanded trip across the south atlantic right now, my boat is still out the water here in Juanlecaza Uruguay. Today I will go to Montevideo to braai with my Afrikàns maaities and watch the bokke bonner the english. I love these get togethers we have here but its quite funny as it takes me about an hour to change from spanish to Afrikaans, the first hour I start a sentence in Afrikaans and about half way automatically switch to spanish without knowing. Haha lucky the guys know spanish as well. Its been super fun watching you guys, I just wish I found your chanell earier on. Well done a great effort and three stars for your proffesionalism.
Rule of thumb is when the barometer starts dropping 1 degree per hr, thats an indication shit is going to hit the fan. Prepare. Congratulations on getting home even though you are not in your home port. Bakgat.
The plan is to haul Avanti, fix her up and leave her in Richardsbay until the summer. We are currently in Cape Town, just found some jobs. Flying back up to Avanti in December to sail her here in the better weather conditions. Once Avanti is in Cape Town we realise we might need to sell her and go back to permanent land life sadly, but also excited about what our next adventure might be. Who knows hopefully we can make it back to life at sea at some point.
Very interesting our yacht Connoisseur has Richard bay on her Transom.she is a strong girl sailing now in Western Australia and I can see why from the ocean you just sailed. Good luck enjoyed your video.🇦🇺
Hi I'm glad that you are back safe. Enjoy. Think safe be safe. Well done
Thank you so much, we were glad to get back!

Congratulations from PYC Durban
Thank you Alan, maybe we will go past there, who knows
Circumnavigation and only need storm jib first time SA coast!
Yes sir, we have been able to avoid strong, up wind sailing until now! But down this coast we might need it more than once.
I got properly moered crossing the current departing R bay recently, epic sea state
Haha our coast promises for more adventurous days before we arrive home that's for sure
👍
Thanks Cliff
Ag nee man! Ek kom nou eers op julle channel af. Ek dink julle sal nog `n lap moet doen om die blou planeet sodat ek kan saam seil. 😂
