Another great video, Rob. Our Festool customers are really excited about this new addition. Great that Festool was able to adapt this so existing CT 26/36/48 owners can take advantage of this new tech.
I'm amazed a generic tool like this hasn't come on the market yet. The Finish Carpentry TV guy has a pretty good solution for his Flexvolt miter saw. He uses a foot operated switch for his dust collection.
@@williamsmith9026 aside from warranty and quality questions with cheaper parts, the limitations you could expect would be that you would have to have the switch on manual all the time, and the 3rd party remote would just control power at the outlet.
I already use the fastcap rcv set up for my insane jobsite dust collection and general vacuuming with regular shopvacs hooked to dust deputies. I have wrestled with the Festool hooked to it because you have to keep it switched to manual then if you want to use a wired tool you have to go back. I guess my question would be. Is the remote able to override the auto/manual knob if using a plug in tool? Example: If I were sanding way up high with the ro90 (see my video link)and then wanted to vacuum could I use that set up? I currently have to disconnect the hose then turn on the sander to start the ct26. Holding a running tool to do another task is a drag. ruclips.net/video/QyawhdimijI/видео.html

I just got one and was'nt sure how it worked but your video cured that.
they should of made it to fit into outlet so it could be used on any dust extractor even old models
Is this compatible with the ct15

Anyone else notice that when shutting off the vac with the remote, the vac shuts down slow, or reduces to slow speed before going off?
My doesn’t work no more and is light purple why is that ? Thanks
