Nice runs! Right from the start, it's obvious that the model 3P wouldn't stand a chance against a plaid model X in the long run, but I'd say you held up pretty well!
How badly do you want a PLAID?! I cant wait to get the tri-motor or quad-motor whatever they decide Cybertruck and put those tuned diesel trucks to shame and show them who is actually rolling coal from a coal power plant haha!
@@RichOnTrackIt doesn’t IF you have other fast cars… own an s plaid and a TT 5.0 mustang (800+hp) and I like driving both… It will, however, set the bar so high with speed that it does ruin other high performing cars that aren’t as fast
10.3 for the standard range is really slow. I thought they were into the 13's in the 1/4-mile? My 2005 Charger with intake, exhaust and tune does 9.0 @ 80 and I always thought the 3 standard range would spank me.
Yeah the 2022-23 rwd are slower but should easily be running 9.0 2020 standard range plus usually run 8.5-8.7. That model 3 was definitely in chill mode considering I’ve tried it myself.
Yeah, the 2019-2021 model 3 SR+ rwd is definitely quicker than the 2022/2023 model 3 rwd. I believe the older models run 0-60 in 5.3 yet the newer rwd does 0-60 in 5.8. There is a difference.
I'm guessing the model 3P would smoke the model Y. The model Y is advertised at 3.5 seconds to 0-60, but I've heard that the real world numbers are closer to 3.9 or 4.0 seconds to 60? The model 3 performance can somewhat meet it's advertised specs, some real world tests have shown that the car can do 0-60 in 3.2 or 3.3.
Imagine if tesla introduced in the near future a model 3 plaid and a model y plaid. They would have to improve the higher end plaids S and X to 0-60 to like 1.7 and X to 1.9 and the 3 plaid 0-60 in 2.1 and model y plaid 0-60 in 2.5 lol
@@RichOnTrack people have gotten low 11s with the m3p. They didn’t do that with track mode on. Track mode allows for more slip and changes torque split to compensate for excessive amounts of slip when the wheels are turned, and most important of all it cools the battery. Don’t know how these can help you going straight
@@rudyyyxu When its 100 degrees out you need to cool the car. Obviously I wouldn't be running trackmode if it was 70 degrees out but when its 100 and your rear motor is hot as hell, you need to cool it or else it doesn't matter what battery temperature is.
I have a model y rwd and it's getting some paint correction so have a 3p for the day and damnnnnnnnn 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 idk how a plaid can make the 3p feel like a rwd
Sorry I had to beat you in my Model X Plaid. It was a fun day racing with my fellow TeslaClubLA owners
0:10 well, “not the big daddy of them all” actually. That would be the Model S Plaid Track Pack. 👑

I enjoy watching your videos thanks bro
If you're in a model 3 performance, no other variant of the Model 3 or Y stands a chance against you.

Remote coal-rolling 😂
Love the new edit on the bottom👍🏻
Thanks for watching !!
That standard range got smoked I wonder if he was actually racing in chill mode
the new one (rwd) is slower than the old one(sr+). you can tell by the black door handle instead of chrome. and different hubcaps.
I think they may have been low state of charge possible since they were running all day
@@xoukilong Agreed, even a SR+ would smoke a new RWD.
In my experience trackmode is slower than not using it. Try without, turn of the ventilation and use slipstart.
Great content!
What are your go to settings while in track mode?
Just doing 50/50 but I’m gonna mess around with putting more power to the rears.

Might be low charge, might be in chill mode. Also had two guys in it lol. No way of knowing without being in the car unfortunately
Can you mention your battery stats more please, have you raced a plaid against your 3p without them doing a battery worm up?
Will try my best :) and next time I see a plaid I’ll ask them to not do the warm up and see how it goes

Appreciate the kind words 🙏 I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos bro
Can you test the Model Y Performance against the Model 3 Performance?
Yes as soon as I see a model Y performance I’ll ask them to do a few races :)
I owned both, M3P is quite a bit quicker, advertised #'s of MYP were way off imho.

That Plaid model X has over 1000 horsepower, so you were lucky to hang in there as long as you did.

I’d be happy with a plaid 3 at 2.8 0-60 and a 11 second quarter mile or something haha. Just keep the price under 60k or something
Tesla should straight up design something for the super car class, imo. It would be insane.

Why do you run track mode
Doesn’t make a difference bro 😎 and I like the stronger regenerative braking
Trackmode makes it slower. Battery is at the strongest around 50°c. Trackmode is constantly cooling the battery.
