  • What does it take for a people group to receive the Bible in their own language?
For one group it took 66 years and innumerable contributions from the people of God.
Could you have been one of the people who helped this happen?
Who could you be in Gods plan?
    _______________
The Isnag live in the high mountains of Apayao, an area in the most northern Philippines.
Anthropologists make note of the hundreds and thousands of spirits, gods, and beliefs they had which cost them greatly. Shamans demanded sacrifices and the belief system weighed upon them.
One day a man (Richard Roe) came to help them and introduce them to the person of Jesus Christ. His actions lead to many Isnag people knowing Jesus and being free from the bonds of animism.
As his piece of the story is told it connects to a much larger story of how God used SIL, Wycliffe, local Filipinos, Virginia Beach Community Chapel, Isnag people, Word of Life, and many others to see this people know Jesus and receive the scriptures!
We had the privilege of traveling to the Isnag and filming them receive the completed word of God in the Isnag language and share this story.
