@@dudeybagz That's more to do with the drivers Scott. My mate had an old land rover with a holden 202 in it, we pulled out brand new Land cruisers, Nissan patrols, and every other 4wd known to man. we stopped half way along Stradbroke Island after seeing a brand new Patrol bogged to the axles, his wife was glad to have some help, the owner was an arrogant prick that literally laughed at the thought the old landie could possibly pull his new patrol out, so I told him no "worries mate, you can stay there all night, there's no one else behind us , so good luck". His wife said please help so, even though we were going to pull the fool out, we made him think we weren't. At the end of the test match who uttered in response to a question about his condition " I'm absolutely buggered!". Caused a National outrage of the time. (buggery being associated with the rectum). Bugger is now more a response of " that's not a good thing to happen". Stuffed, munted, wrecked, unintended happening. P. S NZ rules Straya drools. 😉

Is it mostly Aussies watching you to remind us of the things we take for granted a bit or is it mainly Americans just by sheer numbers (since we've only got a population of 26ish million which is slightly less than one state - Texas at 29 million and then the 300 million more). What got you so fascinated with Australia since you've never made the long trek over here yet? Was it the Monaro and Commodore that GM sold as Pontiacs that got you into the rabbit hole? Appreciate your work as always mate.

Hi, in the US they can have RHD vehicles if it’s 25yrs and older no problem. But to have a late model Holden Ute it had to be converted from RHD to LHD and classed as a truck in the process.
Back in the day the laws and rules with imports in NZ wasn’t as strict as they have been in the last 20yrs. Most LHD vehicles have to be converted to RHD before they can be driven on NZ roads unless granted a permit, while some can be registered automatically.

We absolutely hated it, there's no f*ing Way some halfway normally buildt Dudes could somehow sit in that Thing and be comfortable. The Cabin on that Thing was buildt for Dwarfs! As we all were over 1.75m we had to sit in it with our Heads tilted under the Roof and could barely move the Legs enough to use the Pedals. The back Seats were fully unusable, there was merely 20cm left between the Seat and the Frontseat's Backs, one couldn't even get into the Door properly.
But I guess that's a TOYOTA-Problem. Friends of mine drive a new TOYOTA Corolla and it's absolutely impossible to be somehow comfortable in that Thing. It's meant to be used by averageheight Asians, not averageheight Westerners....

It's done over 900 000km (so far ) and at least 300 000 km of that on rough outback roads and 4x4 tracks. It's taken me all over Australia. The only major failure has been a broken rear diff. centre. Upgraded suspension and wheels/tyres, otherwise stock. Normal wear and tear items ( brakes, tyres, belts , hoses etc ) and serviced every 5000km. Engine and gearbox never opened up for repairs.

If you want a classic down under ute advert google "Mitsubishi New Zealand Free goat ad" now THAT is classic humor at its very best.
PS: Half a dozen people did in fact take the "goat pack" option. I enquired with Mitsu NZ afterward and got a personal reply from their national advertising manager (you have to love NZ).
The red one you want is an '83, the first year of square headlights and the year after the pick on them, the '82 whichis the cream as it has the R22 engine, the round headlights and the heavy-duty bed.

"Oh What a Feeling" "Toyota" lol New ones are crap! might as well buy a Chinese made Ute for a1/4 the price while you are waiting! Mitsubishi Tritons Piss all over them off road at 1/2 the price and 1/2 the availability time , Toyota fan Boys are waiting up to 9 months for a new one of their choice and they have to pay up front lol , Mitsubishi Triton has become the working mans Ute in Australia because Toyotas are way too expensive for the average joe blow, $65-70K for a rice grinder? Posers vehicle or retired Caravan tower! Hi Lux is not what it was and never will be again.

None were banned in Australia. Some just couldn't be screened between 3pm-6pm (kids timeslots), & one is a cinema ad. Bugger ads certainly screened on TV in Aus (& NZ of course since made there) & never banned; that campaign series just ended; as HiLux changed their promotion/advert style. Cows one is also NZ made, and some others, which just never screened in Aus (perhaps because accent is obvious; unlike in the bugger ads)

The "Bugger" adverts came out in 1999 and I know in NSW (New South Wales) they allowed the word Bugger to be spoken on TV but in QLD (Queensland) the word Bugger was removed and the advert was not really the same without the word Bugger in it. Just shows the difference in censorship laws between the 2 states.

It'll explain why you shouldn't mix Aussie and NZ up, mate! 👌

    "Well, there i was.
    Drivin along in my Hilux.
    Off roading, over this mountain.
    Through a valley.
In the middle of a cyclone.
    That's caused a flood.
    And triggered a landslide.
Before i finally get to this volcano.
That's perched right on the edge of a cliff.
Yeah i know what your thinkin.
But hang on to your steak and cheese mate.
Cause this is where it got interesting.
From out of nowhere the biggest wild boar I've ever seen in my life.
Flames pouring out of his nostrils.
He had full body armour on.
Two rocket launches on his legs like a commando.
    He's riding this massive motorcycle.
And getting himself airbrushed on the fuel tank,

Hey. Funny clips. I am Frank from Australia. I just want to explain the Cricket rules briefly. There are 4 types of bowlers. Fast pace, Medium pace, Leg spin, and off-spin. Leg spin is like Shane Warne. (Right to Left). Off spin is (Left to Right). The idea is to bowl at the wickets. (The 3 stumps). The batsman stands at the crease which is 4feet in front of the stumps. He/she has to keep one foot behind the line at all times. They can move across the line to attack the oncoming ball. But if they miss the ball and it goes behind them to the wicketkeeper. The wicketkeeper can hit the stumps with the ball and therefore the batsman is OUT! Because he is not behind the crease. The batsman can put his/her cricket bat down behind the crease to save themselves. That is called a (RUN OUT) if they don't get behind the line before the ball hits the stumps.
Next, if the ball is aiming at the stumps and it hits the batsman on their leg below the knee, that is called LBW. (Leg before wicket) and the batsman is OUT. If it hits the bat before it hits the leg, it's not out.
And last is obvious. If the batsman hits the ball in the air without the ball touching the ground. They can be (caught out).
Scoring. When you hit the ball you can run if you think that you can make it before the fielder throws it at the stumps. If the ball hits the stumps and you haven't crossed the line. (You are RUN OUT). You can run up to 4 times. Don't forget, there are two batsmen on the pitch at all times. So if you just run 1 run, the other batsman is then on strike. If you hit the ball and it makes it to the boundary, it's automatically 4 runs. If you hit the ball over the boundary without it touching the ground, it is 6 runs.
    There are 11 batsmen.
Normal cricket is called (One Day matches) That means there are 50 overs per team. An over is 6 x balls per over. They change bowlers every 6 balls.
The highest score at the end of the overs wins. So if you see this ( 9/253) that means that 9 batsmen were dismissed and the total runs they made was 253).
The other team now comes in to bat and they have to get 254 to win. So you might see this ( 3/ 254 ) 36 overs. That means, they were a better team. They only lost 3 batsmen and they beat the other team with 16 more overs still remaining.
Oh, if the bowler oversteps the crease when they are bowling. It is called a (NO Ball) so if they bowled the batsman out. It doesn't count. But if the Batsman hits it for 6, the batsman gets the 6 runs.
I hope this made sense for you. Love your channel and your family. Regards Frank

Hi Ian, well I noticed that the blue one was LHD, so not Aussie ad, likewise the NZ one(s) and I think there was a South African one there too. I will check out Part 2 as the absolute classic ones with 'The Breaker Bros' were missing. If they aren't in Part 2 you REALLY need to search them up, as they were banned due to being too violent - seriously?!?. Cheers mate.

I grew up with the Barry Crump and Scottie ads, they were part of NZ culture in the 80s and 90s. Taika Waiti paid tribute to Crumpy with Rhys Darby's character and truck in The Hunt for the Wilder people, which was originally a story written by Barry Crump.

Yep, remember all of those. We didn’t want a Toyota but we liked the ads. Last week we ordered a new Hyundai Kona for driving around town. Husband has his fully fitted out RAM 3500 to pull the van.
The guy in charge of Hyundai told us it had been loaded on the boat from the factory in Japan last week. It was on it’s way. We have a big shortage of cars because of Covid. So I asked him if it was a quicker trip from Japan than South Korea and he said yes. It isn’t. He is in charge and handles most sales for that brand but he doesn’t know they come from South Korea. I think he is one of those people who think we wouldn’t know the difference. Except our daughter was born in Korea and we do know the difference.👀 Toyota is Japanese.

Whistln Diesel destroyed a Classic Hilux over 3 videos. Less than 100,000KMs on the Odo, very rare to find one with such low kms, it looked mint.
It’s a bit cringeworthy to watch, beautiful Ute and really rare to find one in that condition from that era. ruclips.net/video/Yl1FNX08HFc/видео.html is first one and we’ll, they can take some punishment and extraordinarily capable.

Hiluxes are crap vehicles. The true facts are , they are breakable, very easily in fact. Soft thin panels, weak 4 cylinder drivelines. Close the door and no solid shut sound. Overpriced for what they are. Do you ever see old ones driving around the roads ? No. Maybe only on someone's farm unregistered. Junk cars
