    Before watching the video, I thought no way was I doing this! Now I find this method easier than sewing around the leg top to attach. Thank you for the tutorial!😊

    Wow, I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. Not only is it easier than sewing them in the traditional way, it’s more user friendly to be played with! Gone are the stiff, immobile legs and arms! Great, very well done tutorial.

    Thank you....thank you...THANK YOU!! I usually make my dolls in one piece (attaching arms as I crochet up the body). I decided to go out of my comfort zone and make each section separate and then join the Legs and arms. I was totally confused by the patterns instruction. I came upon your video and voila! My doll had jointed arms and legs in less than 10 minutes! 😀

    This is a great technique! I've never done jointed legs because all of the patterns I've seen looked too difficult to handle. This is so easy! I'll have some jointed amis now!!!

    Ty so much, very helpful video and tip. Deff gonna try it out. I was struggling wit small needle and larger toys, the pattern wasn't clear when it comes to attachment, few photos indicated that limbs should be sew on at the same time, which is faster but harder with not so neat results. So once again ty so, so much☺❤

    ok for the life of me I can't crochet very well, I always get the numbering wrong anyway I am a knitter and wanted to knit randomly inspired toys for pictures I seen online on my cell and was thing about the joint cause you know some store bought toys move legs arm and sometime head. I saw video of plastic joint and though I have no budget for my hobby so I wondered if there was any ideas for it with yarn and I loved your video I was think about attaching it one by one but your way is easier. I too like the dimple it creates. I wish there were more knitting videos of toys but I also like watching a few crochet one cause you get great ideas for toys and some great tips and the fact is there are just more crochet toys in English than knitting, if you look for knitted toys in other languages most are crochet toys too...😊👍
    great tip thank you!!!! 😊

    I am a freak and always feel like I have to knot it all off to keep the stitches in place. I know you went thru the body several times and such but with the twisting of the legs and say a child who is rough on it have u ever had them come undone? I am always concerned it can fall apart. I love your video. Thanks for sharing it with everyone.

      Gina Santi me too! without a knot I also think a child who plays roughly can make those legs become loose. But have never used this method so dont know

    Is there any advantage to using a button on the outside of the leg?

    • @happyhookdesigns2244
      @happyhookdesigns2244  7 лет назад

      Khambalia22 I've found that using the button makes the leg seem less secure. Although, it does look pretty cute!

      It's old school, that and cotter pins. I've done that but this looks like a great way to do it. Thanks!

    dosent it matter that the top of the legs arnt sitting flat its like they are sticking up? and ehat happened if it is a bit toy and the needle is harder to go all the way through?and do u do the arms the same way?

    • @happyhookdesigns2244
      @happyhookdesigns2244  4 года назад

      Hello Vicki. The toes need to point up and the bottom of the leg should be flush with the bottom of the animal and the ground to sit flat. I make larger animals and use the same technique but found a longer needle to use. I do not do the arms the same way. I do not currently have a tutorial for the arms but am making some more this coming year. Good luck!

    What length needle would I need for this technique xx

    • @happyhookdesigns2244
      @happyhookdesigns2244  3 года назад

      I’ll have to find mine but you’ll want a fairly long one. It is easiest if you can find one that can reach both sides when the animal is squeezed.
