- This is my home video of our visit to Jim Richards racing 2018.
Jim greeted everyone with a hand shake and a welcome.
Jim told us about some of his racing history including Bathurst 1979 winning the race with Peter Brock by 6 laps he also showed us his race cars.
What a privilege to listen to this from the man, thanks for sharing.
I’m stoked I stumbled on this video, great stuff 👍🏼
Whatever the class and whatever the weather JR was as good as they came. Consummate professional always on task. Best driver to watch in the wet.
Godspeed Jim and thanks for the memories.
P.S. Careful in the Targa. Roads don’t have the same protection as circuits.
Wow come across this video and the Mk 2 Rs on a hoist I bought of Jim
Thank you for sharing. Jim's one of those people that you never hear a bad word about. His genuine outlook is reflected in his son Steven, who I was fortunate enough to have a couple of drinks with up in Darwin many years ago...both down-to-earth people.
He's done pretty well for himself. He's a great driver who considers himself lucky enough to get the opportunity that could have gone to anyone else.
Gentleman Jim is a legendary driver.
Always wanted to ask Jim when he knew the GTR was going to be HARD to beat...Godzilla must have brought a Smile to his face
He'd have to be close to the best driver I've seen. What ever you put him in he was just so quick, but like the majority of drivers back in the day he was clean to. Brilliant video 👍👍👍👍
That’s Awesome video love the Nissan’s back in the day Jim is a Legend
G'day Jim Richards I met you once at Grant Walker motors get some GTHO control arms you wanted cleaned it was an honour to clean them LoL
Jim Richards, aka "Gentleman Jim".
Jim Richards, Larry Perkins, Glenn Seaton. Bigger real legends than Brock, Johnson or Moffatt
