I've always thought that The Dead Zone movie could've been considered cannon without any changes, since the plot would most likely have taken place before Raditz lands on Earth.

Technically the only incoherence thing was Kuririn meeting Gohan first in movie, while canonically he first meet Gohan in the start of Z. But only that. Garlic Jr would be a EXCELLENT new movie villain, and since now we have Piccolo with his Orange Form power up and Goku with UI[And of course Gohan with his new form], would be a perfect excuse to bring Garlic Jr with Destruction Gods energy and etc

Gt is canon to DBZ anime as is the filler Super anime is canon to Kai Super manga is canon to the toriyamas manga. Garlic jr,Pokémon,gt are canon. Just not to super or the manga. It ain’t complex.

Yea most of it would work but the fact that Krillen meets Gohan for the first time in dbz kinda throws some stuff off.
