- Beyond the dark sun... The best fucking song on earth! Only sweeping solo or whatever played. First i thought that i wont be able to play this cause its pretty fast but after all it wasnt that impossible.
... And no backing tracks. Backing tracks = cheating ;)
I KNOW second last arpeggio is bit off.. should be 3 frets higher.
It just amazes me, that I am watching 15 years old video. I guess TIME does not really matter when music is that great.
Although I don't listen to this type of music at all I appreciate the technical ability it takes to play it!

the problem is I only found terrible tabs.. [like 12H.O19 on E, then 14H.O19 on and stuff that my fingers just can't reach..]

man u fuckin nailed it. One question, did you learn this from official tablature/sheet music or are you playing it a different way. I noticed when jari plays it live he bars 14 and twelve through the first sweep and you seem to be picking notes on diefferent frets. I suck at sweeping barred notes thats why I want to know

awesome, but i have a tab that was in D standard which i transposed for normal tuned guitar (i heard Jari recorded this song in standard) and am working on the arps too, but mine has no sweep tap. Your version sounds killer though!
yeah but you don't realise what my point really is. Yeah this guy is good but I think 100k views is over-rated. The guy IS good!! but still I have seen lots of very amazing things that had alot more effort put in to them.
There is no such tutorial for sweeping. There are 2 rules.
1. Start at maximum 1/4 of the tempo. Take the time to build your speed. You'll see that it's much easier to synchronize your hands that way.
2. Be patient.
why the hell... or even better-how the hell did this guy get so many views on all of his videos. I have seen better players with like 300 views and this guy has like 100k on multiple videos.
i think you are in e standard tuning, is this not supposed to be in d standard? just clarifying because my tab shows d standard and everything is two frets higher than youre playing. good fucking job btw
I don't want to take credit off Rasite, I think he's fucking awesome, but it's far easier to play alone in a bedroom when you can take 50 videos and put the best one on youtube, than play live!
Figure it out based on the first time he plays it really slowly. Trust me, will be good for your ear. If you try to figure things out by ear you'll be thankful for it into the future.

Yep. Black ESP Standard SV with gold hardware. I'd actually consider buying it if black only came with chrome hardware. At the moment, only white gets the chrome.
I only played the F# in a different place cause I never thought to sweep tap that Ab, killer way to play it!

Yeah, i've been doing them for a week. Once you get the finger rolls (hardest part for me) they are actually really easy, and a TON of fun.
i feel the same i been playin 4 about a year now and i been practicing this sweep lately but i cant get it as fast either probably just needs practice

Well I am absolutely positive if you tried you can. and with the right gear it will sound like it as well.
Its only sold in Europe and I think Japan, but North America has the Jackson RR24 which is close to it.

Im not sure how i mute notes. It happens automatically. My technique is kinda weird because i actually dont pick every note. I pick all notes what goes down but not all what goes up, only those ones what you cant "tap" hard enough with fretting hand.
