    Years ago I setup a 125 gallon community tank, being a bit of a rookie I mixed fish from Malawi, Tanganyika, Victoria and even a few South American Cichlids, on day 3 of this crazy new setup my Labidochromis claimed a spot and started their breeding ritual. I eventually setup several smaller tanks in my basement and successfully bred Labidochromis and Lake Victoria Haplochromis Obliquedens by the dozens. BTW I liked that tank in the video with Labs and Acei

    So I have a grow out tank of a 20 gallon set up for African cichlids. I'm gonna get a few (3-5) and when they age up I'm converting my 58 gallon tank to them. My question is do the labs only swim bottom. 58 gallon tank isn't long like 55-75. It's basically same dimension as 40 breeder but very tall.

    • @FishTankBarn

    @Fish Tank Barn, hi! I was just wondering if this stocking for a 40 breeder sounds good:
    2-3 small fancy goldfish, their not stunted, they are in a 55 gallon now, but their petstore goldfish which I notice don’t really get as large as let’s say a high quality, the biggest is about 5” now and I don’t think she’ll get much bigger at all
    And 2-3 dojo loaches
    how does this stocking sound for a 40 breeder? Tysm!

I keep yellow labs actually 9 of them in a 40 gal. and its funny when feeding 2 times a day they act just fine but when i go down before feeding i observe weird behavior i will have 4 of them vertical at the top of the tank one in each corner? why?? also i recently purchased 3 labs from a lady with a 90 gal. full of them, i asked her how often she dos water changes and she told me never she just tops of the tank when its down an inch or so.... is this really possible? again thanks for your wonderful clips!

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  Год назад

      I think it would be possible depend on how much she filters. Does she have a sump with plants in it. Usually if they hanging in the corner the are lower on the totem pole and I would watch them for being bullied.
