@juliusraw read my comment again. Maybe you will understand a bit better what I said. I said it's mad how trends come back around. we DID this in the 90s! Not we INVENTED this in the 90s
Ya it’s usually kids and young adults coming across something in their parents stuff and to them it’s like discovering lost technology 😂… kids these days are way too preoccupied with socials so it’s taking them awhile to figure stuff out… us as 90s kids had horrible internet so we did a lot more discovering because of boredom
I'm a guy who randomly stumbled upon this video and I had no idea women did this in early 2000s but reading all the comments of how it brings so much nostalgia from that time is so wholesome. Early 2000s also bring back so many memories for me, just a different kind of memories.
Same here! I never let it die bc it looks better than a normal part when my roots are coming in, and there’s more margin for errors that won’t be noticed than using a straight line
Honestly I've been using a fork to part my hair as well as when I had my daughter and she's now 19 and I did her hair for years! It works like a charm especially for the zig-zag
I love the part where she makes the fork work to do a zigzag part and then pulls out the actual tool you're SUPPOSED to use to make a zigzag part and somehow uses it to make pigtails 🤣
When she puts up her first pigtail, look at what she has in her hand. That is the tool that is supposed to be used to make the exact same part she made with a fork. I used to do the same part with the correct tool or pencils. The fork is unnecesary and it actually makes it look less defined than had she used the actual tool
Agreeeeeed hahahaha. You can use any comb to make a zigzag part. Harder with a rattail end IMO but pulls the hair less. I honestly thought thered be more “just use a comb” comments but, guess not lol
Why not they are bringing everything else back and acting like it’s brand new 😅 I swear if my kid starts dressing like I did in middle school I will lose my mind!
lol this is a late 90’s early 2000’s thing. We used to do this with anything you could find, pens, combs, etc. and make all kinds of patterns rather than the usual straight part.
So Ariel was on to something with the dinglehopper?!?! 🤯🤣 “Look at my hair, isn’t it neat?! Wouldn’t you think that my hairdo’s on fleek?” 💆🏻♀️💆🏻♀️💆🏻♀️
You can do the same thing with a comb. Lay it straight across your head and make the zig-zags then separate your hair where you want the part to be. Perfect zig-zags every time. It’s how I used to do mine 15 years ago ❤
In 2000-2010 we had all sorts of hair gadgets and one was for parting hair. It was a device that had a tip for drawing precise part lines and then 2 side pieces that pulled away from eachother to push the parted hair to each side. It came with zigzag stencils and wavy stencils. Fun times. Typically these products were by Conair
