@@TheSunshinefee we do actually . young filmmakers like chaitanya needs to be discovered and supported. We as a nation are not so supportive of young talents but him being an executive producer for a film like deciple , puts a artist on map.
I am still not fully convinced with lost ladies selection , i do think all we imagine as light was a more deserving one and golden globe nominations are more than convincing that the film stands and excels on its own in award circles. BUT seeing the marketing and campaign going on for laapata ladies , how much amir is involved , doing all these interviews , and now this panel with alfonso cuaron , they really are making the film visible to the jury , i wouldn't be shocked if i gets nominated.
A fitting person to engage in such conversation with a filmmaker like Cuaron would be the director of 'Adamant Girl' Vinoth and would have won best picture easily.
Alfonso seems to be know quite abit about india and indian cinema. I hope he mentors more indian filmakers like he did with one already. Hes amazing
they don't need him. Indian filmmakers are good on their own. Their craft is amazing
