I am 16 right now and I know that I was breastfed by my mom for 2 years. She never used formula besides breast milk. After she didn't have enough milk left, she still didn't start formula and found natural and better nutrients babies can eat at certain ages. My sister is almost 4 and she also got the same treatment. I as a baby, toddler, kid, rarely got sick and my sister is doing just as good. On the other side, my aunt has some psychological problems and her kids dependet on formula mostly. My little cousin, now 7 years old, got sick really often as a toddler, and now he also has health issues regularly. My other cousin has a child and bc breastfeeding hurts, she gave up on it, she started using formula. Her little daughter had severe problems like bronchitis and other problems which my cousin also has. Call it a coincidence but I generally fear formula and am grateful for my mom being patient with me even though breastfeeding hurts really bad when the child grows and especially when they get their teeth.
