91 years old and Bob is still sharp. Nobody mentions the southpaw part, but when you realize Bud camp knew that, and that's why Bud stayed southpaw the whole fight. Very few people understand the sport of boxing AND understand the business too. Oscar De La Hoya comes to mind, but he was a boxer himself, Bob wasn't.

Bob Arum is a boxing legend as a promoter at 90-91. He has seen so many generations of boxing stars from Ali to Crawford and his wisdom is absolutely incredible. He broke this fight down quicker than trainers and former boxers could, because he doesn't have a need to make excuses for Spence's performance nor to take anything away from Crawford's spectacular win. He belongs in boxing hall of fame as a promoter/ boxing expert.

This is crazy, to see how this all played out. I remember watching Crawford v Kell Brook in 2020 and thinking “ damn this guy is never going to get the opportunity he deserves” I remember Bob saying Crawford was the best welterweight that night like he had other nights .

This is why Spence's timing was "off" he couldn't adjust to Bud being southpaw.
No one said that the whole night that’s why the timing is off, he’s not use to getting his timing with southpaws and most probably he didn’t train for a southpaw.
Arum's point is good and it made a decisive difference. But Spence had very poor foot movement, timing, and placement even when Crawford was in his face or on the ropes. I will be amazed if Spence made a comeback and looked good against a top fighter again, and I don't see how he could possibly survive against Crawford in a rematch.
What hurt Spence was Crawford hitting between the punches. Spence wind up when he throws was too long.

Arum is parroting what other boxing analysts have stated so let's now give him too much credit. Spence's big mistake was being arrogant enough to think his size/power would be the biggest factor. Appreciate this interview, simply because guys from the golden era, spoke in the way of the sweet science and never have swayed away from it. Logic is a man’s best attribute and we shouldn’t base a decision in a fight even, off if emotions. I knew that the only possible thing Spence has was his power and if Crawford could take his shots, that it was over for him. Crawford made it look like a mismatch.

Before the Conor McGregor fight khabib was well known but not a huge draw. After he destroyed Conor McGregor he is highly popular now and he hasn't fought in at least four years!

It’s no secret that Bob Arum promotes his lighter skinned fighters much more‼️

Tank Davis does not have charisma, but it doesn't matter for him because he ko's his opponents Mike Tyson style. That always sells regardless... Crawford career was going to go this SAME way, top rank or not. He needed Errol Spence super fight to blow him up. I'm sorry, I disagree about top rank promotion. I saw his fights promoted constantly, but I wasn't as interested in him even with his skill set. I'm pretty sure most people feel the same as me. I always knew what he was capable of and now because of the Spence stoppage, I'm anticipating all of his future bouts. Respectfully.

It really did not matter left and right stance. Excellent fighter can adjust if the fighter is not naturally left handed. His strongest punch is the comfortable stance as right handed. Spence was just completely different fighter now.

Salute Fannon, I have to disagree with you about Erol's Trainer. He appeared arrogant and fed that to his fighter. He didn't respect BoMack. I think Erol is a tremendous fighter who may not have had a different plan after pressure fighting Bud didn't work. He got caught from a different angle with the power jab. No excuses. EJ should have Floyd train him. Derrick James may be spreading himself too thin.
