Please forgive the audio, it was due to faulty equipment. We were faced with either dumping this episode and the last one, but we chose to post because we thought the convos were worth it. Sorry again. Thx for watching ☺️
We're okay with ya'll sounding like you're in the school hallway or in the restroom😂 I so enjoy when my faves colab and have a great convo!! Much enjoyed❤😊
Naaaa. Everytime we see Jackie she gets more & more beautiful. God is so good! It’s amazing to see Him restore her femininity within each passing year. Thank you Jesus!! 💖
Amen. I noticed that too. I see God's beauty in everything, and one day I was watching With Perry's and thought to myself, "It's heart-warming to see Jackie embrace her beauty and femininity" She's a naturally beautiful woman. May the Lord continue to bless her ministry, her, and family. As well continue blessing the Azonwu Family
I see that too. Isn't so beautiful to see how God writes people's love story, and we are able to see the physical embodiment of it, by the way they behave with and treat one another? This is so heartwarming ❤
I love to hear GODLY couples who are young and relatable, but are truly SAVED. May you all please continue to come together and share your stories and experiences about relationships and being vulnerable with others ❤
The whole thing was great and I enjoyed it thoroughly! Excellent questions! (The audio didn't bother me at all and wasn't even distracting. People are too finicky - it's really not that deep.) The conversation was helpful, edifying, and enlightening and the added humour was the icing on the cake. Thanks guys!
"Are you getting something off your chest so that YOU can feel better? Or are you getting something off your chest so that we can have peace?" #OUCH 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 Let me tell you something--Jackie is going to get some Word in there SOMEWHERE! I LOVE it!!
I enjoyed hearing this conversation. I think friendship is important in a marriage. I was married for over 20 plus years, I thought we were friends. He left me for someone else that he felt a closer friendship towards. Even when you have a strong friendship, if The Father is not at the center of the marriage, and someone is trying to get their needs met apart from the Lord, the marriage cannot sustain. We make our needs idols, and thereby, making them a “god”. He left for a stronger friendship, someone that he felt he had more in common with but in order to get that, he disposed of his faith and turned his heart from the Lord. It’s heartbreaking. Marriage requires a lot especially when trying to do it Gods way.
I’m glad there are black married couples that are going strong and have these insightful, informative conversations. I love to see it and hear what you have to say about not just the recycled versions of marital questions 🙌🏽 guidance to health relationships 😍
They are aware of the sound... they did put a disclaimer 🫠🫣.... I don't think it's helpful to keep saying it😬.... I come in peace🙌🏾 I loved the conversation ❤
This is so so good! We are not called to be nice. We are called to be righteous (that envelopes kindness and gentleness and patience and all the good stuff that God gifts us). Not trying to be a peace keeper, trying to be a peace maker! 🎉
22:40 This segment on conflict in relationships and dissolving conflicts is something that isn't emphasized enough especially in the Christian community. It's hard, it's messy, it's uncomfortable but it's needed... Because growth always arises regardless of the way the conflict is solved (i.e. Either you grow together or you grow apart) As for The Perrys, I love their dynamic as a couple and i think that this is a result of allowing themselves to grow through conflict as One Flesh (and separate characters/personalities as well). May GOD give them more grace🙌 GOD bless y'all (@TheAzonwus) for this timely and wholesome interview 🥹❤️
Thank you for this!!I love that you still chose to share it despite the audio issues. We know you are excellent people so even though the audio is not perfect...The message and lessons are well received❤
Its so crazy that we only think of false peace in the way of temptations being satisfied. But I’ve never thought of false peace in the way of avoiding conflict and being a “peacekeeper”. Grea✝️ podcas✝️ yall🫶🏾
Bruh! The wisdom in all four of you! Amazing! I am learning so much and praying that the Holy Spirit helps me to retain and utilise appropriately. Glory to God 🙌
Lol I am like Preston. I like to take “confrontation” head on. I want to make sure we’re on the same page as I am often misunderstood. Which is annoying. Lol
Great interview! Preston and Jackie relationship reminds me a bunch of my husband and I. I agree, liking your spouse and being friends makes the greatest of difference!
I'm digging this new background! I spy a fiddle leaf fig behind Jackie & it reminded me to water my plants lol thanks for sharing this episode with your friends 😁 edit: the "LIAR" part CRACKED ME UP!!! I really appreciate how all of you really just laugh together. Sending some love to Jackie, your personality is similar to mine so I definitely end up taking your side in the podcast lol but all of you are wonderful. I'm learning through watching all of your content. I also love how warm the Azonwu's are to ALL their guests. they're like two rays of sunshine, I'm sure all of your kids are mini-sunshines because of it. and Preston is cool too! You're all spending time with the Father, I can tell. The tenderness you all look at each other with, the respect, the love, assuming good intent of each other, trusting each other with this convo... it's clearly a friendship where the Holy Spirit resides. Maybe I'll be more vocal about my appreciation of your personalities, I didn't realize that Jackie feels she gets dragged in her comment section a lot because I genuinely see both her & Preston as loving, hilarious, imperfectly perfect HUMAN people. Much love.
I was waiting for Preston to say the scripture yesssss but I got yall it was Apostle John who was writing about Jesus and His love for people! John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this: lay down ones life for ones friends" Sooo good 🔥🔥🔥 I had read this scripture by myself and said Jesus wants us to lay down our ego our self esteem essentially everything yall were saying "die" in order to truly love our friends as Jesus did for us and as Jesus says ""you are my friends so do as I command." So good 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This conversation is very fruitful because you can tell their advice is coming from experience of how the Holy Spirit has shaped them over the years. I heard someone say that when you pray for patience , God is not going to supernaturally gift you with patience, He will put obstacles in your way to train you on how to be patient. Thanks for this! It’s a blessing to witness this Goldy example in these times.
First 13 minutes of this is 🔥 I am in my second year of marriage, God centered marriage, and I agree fully with Preston! My wife has 3 different autoimmune diseases and day to day she is often in a sour mood or just kinda having a sore look on her face as she should, she has it pretty rough with the different things. But me I’m very happy go lucky, the grace of God is so special and I feel it every day from how far I’ve come from my passed life. So when I see her upset I struggle seeing her “moody” or whatever it looks like when I’m always on a weird high. That mood she is in radiates to my mood and to put it into perspective I know it’s hard for her and I get selfish that it spills over into my mood. It is such a weird dynamic. But thank you so much for these talks! My brother in law and I traveled to New York and took a train to Philly and walked to your we need to talk your! I’m blessed by your content, God is moving through you guys! Keep it up!
This was a much needed podcast. I need to listen to this a few more times. Handling conflict in a mature healthy way is something all Christians need to learn how to do.
I love when Preston said “ sometimes you just have to crack the right joke”! That’s soooo true.. and Jackie.. yes! Sometimes you just need a little Joy “! I wish I’d heard this years ago. It is the one thing that would have helped in disagreements..
Completely here! Psalm 1 has been a serious conviction for me! I like the idea of in love asking/talking about deficiencies biblically in terms of fruit bearing it’s very healthy 👏🏾
19 minutes in & want you guys to know I thank you for sharing your lives and testimonials, also I'm proud of you all for being God seekers and pleasers, His wisdom is evident and it's encouraging 😘😘😘😘
I just love the honest and open conversation, the level of vulnerability is so refreshing to see. I pray that more Christian , open up and have just basic and honest conversation like this👏👏👏.
Watched this right after watching the power of agreement where Sarah Jakes talked about conflict. And the way that the spirit is on the same page is wild! Grateful for this convo
Same! I love hearing God’s word honored and blessed from relatable people. May the world be drawn to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and salvation be restored before his return 🙏🏽❤️
Ooooo *pauses clip• rolls into comments* yallll!!! when Jackie leaned in and acknowledged mommy hurt!! It’s not talked about enough. Love this bold woman of God! *play
I clicked on this bc I’ve haven’t seen both couples together in a minute but what I got was so much more. Literally am dealing with how to handle conflicts right now in my family! So grateful for all the points that was made so far . -Aroggnace with people addressing conflict with you and you responding back with retaliation -Choosing to kill yourself to hear how others feel -Not running from the hard but towards it and having vulnerability because that’s actual intimacy and love! It’s just so funny cus I posted all of this on threads before clicking on video😮39:55
Love you guys watching all the way from South Africa...I love how realistic you navigate your marriage the honesty and transparency ...I first saw you guys on the perry podcast and you touched me so much ..
I SO love this with all you guys. This is like the cutest thing I've seen all year! ❤ All of your wisdom and well-formed Godly love for each other❤️🔥🖤
This blessed my whole soul!!!!! Been a disciple, from a distance, of the Perry’s for a while and I love them! Now a subscriber of the Azonwus! I appreciate and am thankful for the vulnerability, boldness, love and wisdom in this conversation. I can’t wait to see more! I need those question cards too please!! ❤️
This was a good conversation. At the end of the day, we are responsible for how we respond. We can’t control another. Applying the lessons of Yeshuah definitely helps. The Bible is a great manual.
Sir in all love, you gotta watch more closely to make sure you don’t cut off your wife. She really be making such good points. I know it’s not intentional, but being more mindful to let her get her whole point out would be amazing ❤
“That’s so good”. I learned that phrase from you all🤗.. It’s Sabbath & this has served as my sermon for today…😇😇👏 Until the game… I’ll def. watch it later though.
Excellent conversation....I also think that discernment in all cases is key because there are people in our midst--who we will ultimately find we are not equally yoked with and the door needs to shut...not everyone is coming to the table with a pure heart and there are peopkle who label themselves as friends who have deep rooted jealousy
you can't tell me God doesn't lead me even when I'm trying to pick a video to "binge on" while i do a chore because whyyyyyyy would i click on this particular video when i'm at the season in my life where i'm inbetween cutting someone important off and just resolving the conflict we had
I think more accurately Preston, it is when people don't love themselves enough to recognize that a flaw, whether in behavior or otherwise, doesn't make you less worthy of love. Therefore, being able to respectfully listen and hear what is being said without a posture of pride and in true humility to allow growth, resolution, truth, and an unlocking of our better selves. Especially coming from someone we have close relationship with. When, as Jackie says , llowing the Holy Spirit to lead us. Conflict is an opportunity for refinement of character.
Omg 😢😢 We Miss Y’all So Much It’s Truly A Blessing To See Yall Still Together And Inspiring To Us And Acknowledging Jesus Christ For The Foundation Of Your Family I Absolutely Love That Thank You And Be Blessed ❤❤❤
Please forgive the audio, it was due to faulty equipment. We were faced with either dumping this episode and the last one, but we chose to post because we thought the convos were worth it. Sorry again. Thx for watching ☺️
Thanks for putting edification above ego. This was such a good convo and so needed!! Thank you ❤
You all made what you were saying so much louder than the issues! Powerful Session! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Thank you for this and your hard work ❤️💪🏽
We're okay with ya'll sounding like you're in the school hallway or in the restroom😂 I so enjoy when my faves colab and have a great convo!! Much enjoyed❤😊
Made the right decision! We rock with y’all regardless 🫶🏼
When Preston said people try so hard to be peace keepers instead of peace makers, Yh that was 🔥
My goodness
Yasss!🔥
Naaaa. Everytime we see Jackie she gets more & more beautiful. God is so good! It’s amazing to see Him restore her femininity within each passing year. Thank you Jesus!! 💖
She definitely has a glow to her. That Holy Spirit shine! 😍
She looks like Lauren hill too. Black beauty
Lauren Hill & Jackie Hill Perry share some of the same spirit, and could be related!
I agree with feminity. She has literally evolved
Honestly the audio didn’t even bother me. I was into the conversation.
I too
Same
Exactly!
Same💚
Agreed
I love this because at my big big age I'm still navigating how to properly deal with conflict.
So am I!
It's really CONFLICT *RESOLUTION*
Preston is so gentle with Jackie.
Very ❤
I see that too. Isn't so beautiful to see how God writes people's love story, and we are able to see the physical embodiment of it, by the way they behave with and treat one another?
This is so heartwarming ❤
Im paying attention, but The top of Preston’s hat reminds me of a baby bottle pop for some reason, If ykyk .
😂😂😂
I’m crying 😭thank you for commenting this.
I cannot unsee it
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😝
Jackie’s new ring is 🔥
Preston did so well!
And my God, all y’all are so beautiful.
That ring is shining!!! Preston did well
Peace keepers vs. peace makers.....wow!!! I never heard that point of view.
A WORD: “For us to allow people to move in error alongside us, are we not in agreement?” 😮💨
👏🏽 yesssss
I love to hear GODLY couples who are young and relatable, but are truly SAVED. May you all please continue to come together and share your stories and experiences about relationships and being vulnerable with others ❤
The whole thing was great and I enjoyed it thoroughly! Excellent questions! (The audio didn't bother me at all and wasn't even distracting. People are too finicky - it's really not that deep.) The conversation was helpful, edifying, and enlightening and the added humour was the icing on the cake. Thanks guys!
Jackie is so WISE!! The wisdom God gave her is just wow !
"Are you getting something off your chest so that YOU can feel better? Or are you getting something off your chest so that we can have peace?" #OUCH 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
Let me tell you something--Jackie is going to get some Word in there SOMEWHERE! I LOVE it!!
"Getting something off of your chest for you vs getting something off your chest to create peace"
Wow
Rely on the Holy Spirit for boldness because if you rely on yourself you'll either be a fool or a coward and God rejects both of them. 🔥🔥🔥
Preston is such a great guy!!! God bless you and Jackie!! Jackie ❤️ is equally awesome❤

Im so sorry to read this. I cant imagine the grief. I just pray you believe that God is still GOOD & "Broken Crayons Still Color", forreal 💗🤗
I’m glad there are black married couples that are going strong and have these insightful, informative conversations. I love to see it and hear what you have to say about not just the recycled versions of marital questions 🙌🏽 guidance to health relationships 😍
This is how I know I like all of your content generally. I’m travailing through this audio.
Right lol idk if I can finish it. The sound 😅
Travail 😂. It does improve. Also, the content in the improved part is worth the battle. I took a break & came back.
😭😭😭
eyooooo that's hilarious. hahaha
I just love how the women are listening and admiring their men 😍
They are aware of the sound... they did put a disclaimer 🫠🫣.... I don't think it's helpful to keep saying it😬.... I come in peace🙌🏾
I loved the conversation ❤
I agree 😂
❤ your comment
I'm stealing the "I come in peace"
This is so so good!
We are not called to be nice. We are called to be righteous (that envelopes kindness and gentleness and patience and all the good stuff that God gifts us).
Not trying to be a peace keeper, trying to be a peace maker! 🎉
I truly enjoyed this conversation! The Azonwus & The Perry’s…amazing combination💕
side note:audio was not that bad.
Jackie is so beautiful. The love is real in this podcast between couples and friends. I really enjoyed this podcast.
I saw a side of Preston I never saw before in this video. I like his languages
The end had me in tears 🤣🤣
Also I love how Jackie femininity is coming out lately.. I here for it.
This podcast was everything and more.

Lol I am like Preston. I like to take “confrontation” head on. I want to make sure we’re on the same page as I am often misunderstood. Which is annoying. Lol
Thank you for still posting this! 😊

Both these couples are wise❤️ worth taking a listen!
This was so good and edifying. The last parts were hilarious. Two of my favorite internet couples. Thank you for letting God use you.

Love you guys watching all the way from South Africa...I love how realistic you navigate your marriage the honesty and transparency ...I first saw you guys on the perry podcast and you touched me so much ..
I hope I can have friends and conversations like this one day. 🙏🏻
I SO love this with all you guys. This is like the cutest thing I've seen all year! ❤ All of your wisdom and well-formed Godly love for each other❤️🔥🖤
Thank you. Just thank you. Persons in love with God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and loving each other. Thank you.
Loving this podcast so much thus far.
Being defensive is not love, it’s arrogance.
🔥🔥🔥
I love these four ❤❤❤❤, may God keep you all.
Kaiyana speaks so softly. Thanks for sharing this.
I love this channel! Great convo 🎙️🔥🔥🔥
Did anyone notice when Jackie started to get comfortable?
Really good conversation!
I’m watching this video and really loving….. THE INTIMACY FROM BOTH COUPLES
@JackieHillPerry please don’t say you’re going to get rid of your beautiful gap?
This was so good and wholesome 🫶🏽
Great conversation, wonderful insights! Lovin’ your hat Jackie.
Beautiful display of godly love ❤
"My love for Jesus makes me do hard stuff!" - Jackie Perry (exclamation, me)
This is such a powerful conversion. I needed to hear this rn
This was such a great talk! I learned so much and just at the right time in my life. Definitely worthy of a rewatch with my notebook!
Always be led by the one that made us ALL.
Sir in all love, you gotta watch more closely to make sure you don’t cut off your wife. She really be making such good points. I know it’s not intentional, but being more mindful to let her get her whole point out would be amazing ❤
When I see beautiful people talking Godly I stay and listen
“That’s so good”. I learned that phrase from you all🤗.. It’s Sabbath & this has served as my sermon for today…😇😇👏
Until the game… I’ll def. watch it later though.
Jackie is truly loved! I love her, but man she’s a lot 😂😂😂
!AAAALOT!
Both couples are absolutely beautiful❤ I love to glean and take wisdom from both couples. This was a great podcast.
Jackie done took the Invisalign out on camera! Now that’s dope!!
We are called to be peace makers. So we will need to learn to deal with conflict.
Thank you, Azonwus!! This was so informative ❤❤❤
Excellent conversation....I also think that discernment in all cases is key because there are people in our midst--who we will ultimately find we are not equally yoked with and the door needs to shut...not everyone is coming to the table with a pure heart and there are peopkle who label themselves as friends who have deep rooted jealousy
Just found this channel, and I'm thankful I did. This was gold, audio quality bad or not, so thank God you posted regardless. ❤
This was sooo good! Thank you.
you can't tell me God doesn't lead me even when I'm trying to pick a video to "binge on" while i do a chore because whyyyyyyy would i click on this particular video when i'm at the season in my life where i'm inbetween cutting someone important off and just resolving the conflict we had
This needs to go viral
So good! We can take the way our spouse “is” personal
