My theory for why they can't just remove the trigger with Roxy's Raceway is that they programmed the event triggers in some way to be physical only, so their workaround is that when you place the head, they just fade out the screen and teleport you onto the event trigger

Location does not matter. Freddy's sentience, and rampant rage and revenge fueled insanity that made him want to kill everyone in sight, all came from a murdered child that was posessing him.
Otherwise, he would have just been a robot like we know them.
No sentience, no ability to just go wherever, just a machine. Like a toaster.
He could only ever talk because the child inside could.
Now that it is dead and gone, like Afton SHOULD HAVE BEEN, Freddy would be as sentient as your phone. Useful, maybe, good programming if it needs to play in the future and not the more realistic approach (at least to robotics) that we had so far.
But no feelings. No caring. Nothing. Just a line of code.
Sentience in robots in Fnaf comes from whoever died in that robot.
Otherwise, they are just some metal bits below a thin plush hull.

I kinda played slow on my first playthrough, actually using the hiding spots a lot, not realizing how easy it is to get around bots without them until much later. I'm honestly surprised about that. It's felt like it's been cobbled together with vague plot points since no story was ever planned out. It feels like every "plot point" is vague matpat bait so the actual writing can be outsourced to a random guy and minimal effort has to go into actual story.
Mind you improvisation doesn't mean a story is poor by itself. Final Fantasy 14, for example, makes it feel like everything was planned out, one of the villain factions that people love now as well written and tragic were originally written as "generic villain to drive the plot". Or One Piece where every improvised thing ties back into the story so well it feels like it was planned from the beginning.
Then there's FNaF which I don't knock for having no plans for a coherent story. The gameplay was the draw, and the first game was a Hail Mary last try at making a successful game. It's a "for kids horror" with what feels like a "for matpat" story.

The problem of the game placing you in a different save file if you haven't saved yet is actually a problem in more games than you realize. The first one that came to mind was Apotheon that allows you skip to the final boss. You can use it to "beat" higher difficulty play throughs and get all of the achievements without ever playing more than easy mode. Every game that has this problem has a slightly different method of loading a different save file, but the root problem is that same.
For example, in Apotheon you duplicate a file that saved in front of the final boss. Delete the duplicated file. Load that file number (like if you duplicated it to file 4 then you need to open a new game on file 4), and as soon as you get control of your character you load the last quick save and it will warp you to the final boss. The final boss gives the player the best item in the game (like breath of the wild) and you can now "beat" the game on any difficulty setting.

LOL. Steelwool's studio 's answer to fixing the game was to tape and glue as many glitches as they could, without even thinking if their thrown together fixes made sense in terms of gameplay and story. Yeah, it's better than the early launch version, but it's still jarring. They could have simply made vanny chase you more and chase you faster to make up for the fact that they gutted her out of the story late in development. They could have made the animatronics smarter to truly challenge us, but instead, they threw in a whole bunch of hot fixes and hoped that they would stick. Similar to how areas that take away your ability to call freddy can give it back afterward even if you didn't have the ability to begin with, since Steel Wool seems _really_ good at this sort of thing :/

Fun fact: around a month after sb’s release, I got up those stairs and there a multiple flashlight stations up there, just wasting space. Everything had its collision on as well, there were even two bathrooms! If you have the game on pc you can see for yourself. That
area near the afton elevator that’s out of bounds has collision too and an exit door for some reason. This, the top of that staircase area, and the raceway having collision too show that they were quickly made out of bounds. And I don’t get why they don’t just let us explore more of the pizzaplex.

I tried this update when it was first released. Got softlocked in a wall near fazerblast, got t-posed by vanny, and saw that performance hadn't improved RTX-wise when I got 20fps on high raytracing with performance DLSS on a RTX 3060, a card that I use to run games like Cyberpunk 2077 at maximum graphics all the time at solid 60's.
    It's still security breach, lol.

Can we take a minute to appreciate the fact that on steelwool's website even their logo is glitching ( 16:00 for example ). I mean, that's honesty right there !
