TBS had the rights to more than just the SEC for a few years in the '80s, including the Big Ten, and they showed a night game (usually either Big Ten or Pac-10) every week for a year or two. Ohio State's first home night game ever (1984 against Pitt) was a TBS game. Still no night games after Daylight Saving ended, though--that was a long-lasting Big Ten rule right up until the new FOX-CBS-NBC contract. About the only November night games you ever saw were in the Metrodome.
Thank you for posting this. My freshman year at Madison ❤
Big 10 doing night games in the 80s?
