1. What materials do you mainly use for your drawings?
In general, I use Copic Ciao markers and Touch Twin Markers, Quill Multiboard A4 white paper, 2B and HB Pentel and Faber-Castell 0.5 mechanical pencil and Faber-Castell PVC-Free Space Eraser (Cool name) and I use Uni-ball Signo white fineliner
2. Did you go to any art school or academy?
No. I took Studio Arts in senior high school. It's not from that class that I learned evreything I know. I did learn new things from the class, but not to do with fashion illustration or manga drawings. I went to a regular high school, so it doesn't specialize in art.
3. How do you draw the models? Do you use any templates?
I started out by tracing models from magazines which is harder than it sounds, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Then of course, I searched all types of videos on RUclips and some sites as well on Google, which unfortunately, I don't remember. How I learned to draw my models is using the 9-Head technique.
4. How old are you?
I am now 19 years old
5. How long have you been drawing?
I'm pretty sure I started drawing at 6. That's probably my oldest memory of me drawing. I got into manga drawings when I was 11 years old, I started teaching myself how to draw manga when I was 13 years old. I started developing an interest in fashion design also when I was 11, but I pursued that interest or taken it further at the age of 14. So, I would say I started drawing fashion illustration at the age of 14.
6. Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, Tumblr fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something that I like.
7. Do you have any links or books you can recommend?
Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. These two books are very helpful if you're a beginner or even if you want to be a bit more advanced.

Hi Zyra! I was wondering if the ink smudges when you use copic markers? Or watercolour? I love the fine lines but the thinnest waterproof marker I could get was 1.0

shading is probably really important when trying to create a realistic drawing.. also use references to help you! :)

I can tell that the velvet ur talking bout is more of flowing silk? I've researched and velvet doesn't dance like that. Apart from that OMG ur design was amazing!!!! Just like em all!! :)

I can see what everyone is saying when they mention it looks like satin. I believe the problem lies in the fact that you have a lot of highlights in the skirt itself. If you notice, the very subtle points & creases in the top make it look velvet. Satin has a very high sheen so the color contrast is more vibrant than velvet. The colors of velvet comes through when it is completely flat(no highlights or shadows), so when rendering velvet the gradient in between the colors should be super subtle/softened & the highlights should be shown more in the slight folds, creases, & movement of the garment to evoke the certain weight velvet has. I know FSketcher has a really nice tutorial on rendering Velvet. I am unsure if I am explaining it right, but I learned from her & it really helped.
I watch all of these people drawing very good and I look at my drawings and say to myself I wish I had just a pinch of that talent. then I say I'm going to sixth grade and I will take art class and I'm very excited but then I wonder if I will get better a drawing after my school year?!

Jazzmyn Morris I don't think I'll be doing a Disney villans collection, however it could happen in the future.. who really knows. As for the lost boys collection, I feel like it does has potential, but I'm currently not motivated to complete the collection.

azra anees I can't show you how to draw one step by step unfortunately. However, I do highly recommend that you use reference photos to practice drawing ball gowns. There's heaps from famous fashion designers all over the internet which you can use. You can draw them in the exact way which would help you gain an understanding oh the shape and how they fabric might flow with this kind of dresses. Good luck! :)

Beautiful design but I dnt like the loose top as mermaid wears shells as her top u should have done something better for her top as far ur concept of showing her legs I loved it
