Thank you! It was annoying to listen to Chaka Khan's 80s hit "Through the fire", because Kanye West retooled into "Through the wire", but "the wire" in this case relates to his particular situation with the surgery. Now in the original, all she sings is "down to the wire", but I always thought "what goddamn wire??". Now I know what it means!
