I think the manga is going on hiatus again so the team can fully flesh out and finish figuring out the rest of the plot. 371 feels like the end of an arc, and leaving it at such a depressing and infuriating (in a good way) cliffhanger means people will want to come back as soon as the manga continues. But that's just my speculation on the hiatus.
They already have the story. Its on hiatus cus they are hiring artists and its gonna be heavy on the berserker armor so they need a lot of time to work with New People and draw the detail heavy stuff
@@fletcherw32 it was really weird when 372 started with Guts being snapped out of his depression by Puck introducing him to a crippling gacha addiction. im not sure how to feel about the new direction the story is taking but i guess we'll see.
Hmmmmm; sounds quite convincing. It feels like we're heading towards a crescendo, the endgame is coming, and while it may take years to reach that endgame, it's all going to come to a head the chapters following 371 and I will be eagerly awaiting the continuation of this manga with bated breath.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda hoping that Puck is going to come in and try to talk to Guts. I mean Puck, and us the viewer, have been with him since the "beginning" and he was the one to support Guts in some shitty moments

@@johnfakester5527 one of my big suspicions for berserk is that Guts will become a protector instead of a destroyer like Skull Knight. I suspect there is a way to counter Griffiths' ability to redirect attacks, they just haven't discovered it yet.
I 100% believe that Griffith is doing this on purpose to make guts feel the true despair that he felt when he left him and we all know how petty Griffin can be in the story.🤔🐱
its funny so many youtubers 'review the new chapters' i just wait for this man to do videos. nobody comes close to breaking it down and explaining bravo my good man!
I think the Beast kept off activating when confronting Griffith to fuck Guts over. Not because its power would have been able to put a dent in Griffith or anything like that, but because he didn't want Guts to lose consciousness when he realized just how powerless he truly is before Griffith. If Guts had lost himself in a rage he wouldn't have been able to see for himself how weak he is compared to his enemy, which was crucial for breaking him and allowing the Beast to break its shackles and then go in for Guts's mind.
Yeah I agree, but the real question is: what would the beast do after conquering guts' mind, other than devouring everything dear to guts, its real intentions are unknown, would it be to pursue vengeance, even though it knows how useless that would considering the outcome is inevitable, or maybe, and I know it's gonna sound crazy, use guts as a sacrifice for the beast to become its own deity, it sounds stupid, but it's not out of considerations.
@Bassel Hatem I'm pretty sure the Beast of Darkness only has one objective: kill. It doesn't have to be a specific person or group it only wants to savagely murder, rape, and destroy. This thing is a manifestation of Gut's hatred, rage, and evil. It has no other reason for wanting to hurt or kill other than it can.
@@basselhatem2 the beast would rampage, until skull knight/schierke could bring guts' mind back... guts would have transformed (just like skull knight) and have little to no use for the armor anymore, then one last buddy cop adventure to a bittersweet ending. Just my best guess.
Man, i'm still annoyed at Zodd's whole thing. He was a somewhat honorable fighter who just wanted good fights, straight up saved guts because he liked him, and even gave him a warning about hanging with girffith but ever since griffith cut his horn off he's been a whipped errand-boy for him. I wonder if he'll get a face-turn against griffith's monster mash in the end or something.
Well it is in his nature to follow him as an apostle. He only cares about fighting strong opponents anyway. Unless he has some personal reasons to backstab Griffith I don't see that changing.
I personally think that bringing Casca back is eventually going to lead to her spreading the word of what Griffith really is, which will lead to Guts finally being able to hurt him.
The Skull Knight is the most suitable person to enact vengeance. He's already undead, and Guts can't touch Griffith right now. Let the one with the reality-slicing blade fight them. Guts still has something to lose. He needs to get Casca out of that city before they're caught in the crossfire, and find a way to get rid of their brands so they aren't permanently Hellbound. They have to think of the long-term consequences and how to undo them.
A hair I don't know how many people don't realize how much this matters when dealing with a godlike being. He managed to do SOMETHING. He CAN do something.
Guts has to give up his hate to win. A man can not live by hate lest he be consumed by darkness and become evil. He is clearly at a crossroads of darkness and light, I’ve been there. Hardest challenge so far.
Yeah I see 2 ways of ending berserk Either guts kills griffith Or griffith gets consumed by his ambition while guts saves casca and lets go of his hatred.
@@BT-ob7ve honestly, having griffith lose everything even as a godhand would be perfect, guts needs to let go and its the entire lesson that skull knight is trying to teach him. going for blood and guts (reference intended) is only going to get you so far but what else is there when hatred no longer provides you with the means to get the job done? guts needs to let go and start really relying on his party for help and to overcome the darkness of the berserker armor. honestly the series ending with guts not being the one to deal the killing blow would be pretty good a clear sign that guts finally overcame his hatred and did let go. that or guts killing him after attempting to spare him would be another good way to do it as it would show he tried but griffith forced him to finish the fight.
The Art is actually amazing. Not only did they tell the story pretty well, but the amount of call backs and how good they looked showcased their ability on handling this. I'm glad it's taking this long. I might get another double whammy and get our minds blown again.
Personally, I think the kidnapping of Casca was impulsive on Grifith's part. Partially the desire of the moonlight child wanting to be with his mother and partially his desire to have Casca back as a pawn/lover. It's less that he sees it as something planned out, more that he can write it into the plans, or he's confident that he can control things even though Casca is like Guts, being partially outside of causality.
Can you elaborate on Casca being outside Causality? I was under the impression that SK saved her for Guts' sake, so that he would not lose himself and his body like SK, having a purpose because of her.
@Volibear well, when skull knight is talking to Guts in... I forget the chapter, but he explains to guts that normally people can't change things, but because Guts survived and he might be able to make some minor changes, akin to ripples on a pond. So, I would think that applies to Casca as well. It's not as if she and Guts are fully outside causality, like Griffith seems to be, but they are slightly outside of it. Probably not the best analogy, but think of it like this: Regular people are those standing by a pool and looking at it. They can't change how much water is in it or anything. Griffith can drain the pool, add food coloring, overfill the pool, put alligators in it, whatever he wants as he has control over it. Guts and Casca are stand8ng with the normal people, but each one has a sack of small stones. They can throw the stones in or skip them across, making waves. It doesn't change much, but it is more than normal people can do and can be outside of Griffith's predictions and plans.
@TheAlmightyLoli Maybe the reason why the Beast didn’t do anything when it saw Griffith is that it wouldn’t do any better & that would allow Guts to ignore the seduction of the Beast if he saw it be ineffective… now if the beast didn’t act it gets to promise Guts power, revenge, fury smothering out Guts’ despair.
Really small detail that I noticed about Sonia is that her armor in 371 has a heart symbol on it. Casca's sword hilt during the Golden Age had a Heart Symbol in it, I don't know if this is meant to represent how Casca and Sonia each show(ed) devotion to Griffith, but I think it's really subtle character design.
Not only Guts, but everyone on his squad right now, and my greatest fear is for Guts to come back to his Black Swordsman behavior and for Isidro and Schierke to behave like this as well!
Omg! Rewatching the episode where guts and Griffith have there snow duel and in the fight it literally shows guts only cutting off a hair off Griffiths head before he stops his blade so there’s definitely a connection between that duel that sent griffith spiraling down to the duel now that’s doing the same to guts damn that’s so awesome the parallels
9:48 Another character that's also currently on Falconia and knows Casca: *Charlotte.* Basically one of the pillars of the whole damn city, and one of the things that allow Griffith to have as much political sway as he does. Imagine when she finds out the woman she saw rescue Griffith from the tower of rebirth all these years ago is now a broken mess because of her lover.
The thing about toxic people like Griffith is that they never really let go. There have been people in my life who were manipulators, who always tried to keep others closest to them down in order to feel better about themselves. Which is Griffith to a t, as he literally became a demon to shut off his emotions and get what he wanted. The sad thing about people like this is treat they never really let go, they just focus on whatever they don’t have or their own insecurities. Even when Guts tried to move on, Griffith couldn’t handle it apparently, and so stole everything from Guts again. I’m sure this will come back to bite Griffith in the ass, but whenever Griffith is defeated or killed, I will have some satisfaction in knowing that the last thing he will see, real or imagined, was his best friend. I hate you Griffith.
I think the parallel of Guts sinking to the depths of despair, parallelling Griffith's sinking to the depths of despair before and during the eclipse, is a bit understated. Griffith was fully lost, insane from torture, jealous of others' station and thinking his dream will never be accomplished. That's when he was manipulated into giving up his most precious thing, his mercenaries whom he had so desperately built, to gain power and ascend to a demon, to gain his dream of a kingdom. Guts' dilemma has been his friends and his vengeance on the other hand. He has so far ignored his vengeance, or rather it has set aside. But this chapter reveals that Guts never really let go of it. I think the dilemma was best put into words by skull knight: Guts can choose the path of vengeance but he might fade into a shadow of rage and malice with no real personality or person left. I believe this is what happened to Skull Knight. He chose vengeance and even to remain in existence, even when he was turned into a creature of a single purpose, who understands and exists for nothing other than vengeance. I think that's what the parallel with the queen of faeries was about, she still loves him, but to him the only thing he lives for is vengeance, his human past and priorities are forgotten, they are not real to him anymore. i believe this choice must come to Guts as well. Will he choose vengeance or his friends or some other path, yet unclear to me. To be precise, Guts will be presented with the power to destroy the Godhand but that power must come with a terrible price, like the parallel choice of Griffitth's. Maybe Guts will be overtaken by the spirit of vengeance that lives within him and only with great cost or the loss of one of his new companions will snap him out of his madness. In spite of the passing of the irreplaceable Miura, I believe the story has great potential and remains very interesting to me. We shall see what the future will give us.
I don't think Guts is going to or is even able to kill Griffith. From what I understood, Rickert is able to hit him because he doesn't see Griffith as a god, and the perception of the human mind is what powers the astral world and by extension the godhand. In theory, assuming i'm right, that means that the one who will kill Griffith will not be Guts or any of the characters who perceive him as a god, but a lesser character who doesn't, like Rickert for example. It all goes down to the story trope of the great evil not being defeated by the powerful but by the weak (Like LoTR). But that's only speculation and no one really knows what was in Miura's head except Mori, so thank god he's writing the story now and we'll be able to see Miura's ending at least at a conceptual level
I also love that people are debating whether or not the Beast of Darkness feared Griffith. imo The Beast of Darkness was physically TRYING to get out but couldnt. Like Guts wasnt controlling himself, its just that the Beast of Darkness was far to weak to even come out and face Griffith. Its amazing that we never even saw griffith face the berserk armor, because the berserk armor was so meaningless to him that it couldnt even come out by his sheer radiance. The winds were to strong.
i hope casca being locked in a tower by griffith, and she ponders how much guts went through to save her (we could se ein her mind that even when she was insane she still recognized guts), and she is inspired by guts' willingness to push forward no matter what. Then casca has a scene mirroring guts in the cave refusing to lose casca ever again, as guts loses all hope, casca is now the one who refuses to accept what happens to her... honestly, a scene with casca mirroring guts' cave scene would be absolutely insane.
Tbh when I saw Sonia eye, I’m sure she looked into casca mind and saw everything, that’s why they had the panel of Sonia eye looking shocked. She knows what griffth truly is now. The panel of guts literally diving into the water, is pretty similar to when he was trying to get out of the abyss when the beast of darkness trapped him, he legit doesn’t care now, he knows the only way to win is give the beast of darkness the wheel.
Feels pretty fast, I mean I know she can read minds, but is that simple when someone's unconscious? A lot sonias the most loyal to griffith, but also jealous of when he's with another girl like Charlotte, I see it more of it being that griffith brought casca in falconia as like another sex toy for himself, but I could be off on that
@@patrickzalatoris3206 It’s to control the moonlight boy. He kept seeking out his parents, particularly it’s mother, which were hundreds of miles away, so Griffith took casca for this presumably.
i think the beast of darkness didnt take over when Griffith appeared was because gut's anger was faster than the armor itself, because we can see the beast kinda slither up the cloak at the beginning but guts moved in first
My best guess on how this will end goes as follows. Could be totally wrong. Skull Knight's complex plan will be put to action at his stolen kingdom, and it will either destroy one or all the members of the Godhand, at the cost of his old empire, which he learned to let go of long ago. The Godhand can't anticipate all of what he does, and he knows that. So he's taking advantage of their limitations to end the suffering they force on the world. Guts will properly grieve his losses instead of bottling it up like he did for years, tame his inner beast, and go on one final journey to retrieve Casca, and get out of Falconia as fast as possible. Guts won't be the one to get revenge, since it's now confirmed that he can't fight Griffith. Skull Knight can, so he'll be the one to carry out an attack on the Godhand and hope it's a killing blow. Guts will simply evacuate whoever he can before they're caught in the crossfire.
I think the stage is now set for a classic, albeit horrifically twisted trope. Our brave and intrepid hero must now rescue his fair maiden from the clutches of an evil dragon. She is locked in the tallest tower in the dragon's keep. But... Our hero may just fall into darkness, and be consumed by the Beast. Our dragon is a hawk, and the people believe the hawk to be their savior. I fear what Guts will become in the chapters to come.
The beast of darkness tried to take over Guts right when he realised Griffith was there, but Guts resists it. U have a panel of the beast of darkness eye and then u get one of Guts resisting it, before he runs at Griffith.
I honestly think that part of the Future character development will be Guts understanding that the beast of darkness is a part of him to be controlled and wielded, instead of simply resisted and denied. Once Guts understands that, he will be on the road to true mastery of the berserker armor.
In Baki and Parasyte they each have a line like "In the wild, a beast never enters a fight it cannot win. Losing means dying." I feel like that addresses the beasts behavior a bit
I hoped after his death they'd lay this story to rest with hope the author could never have known, but we are in the same darkness, and the writers now know that more than ever. We are here forever.
Great timing, I was just rewatching your video on Conviction arc. I prefer Studio Gaga take their time with story and art, instead of rushing it, but HOPEFULLY, we're not looking at Boat Arc 2.0.
I think that Guts was shown the memories of the Skull Knight for a very specific reason. It brings back the conversation that Skully had with Flora before she died, the Knight believing that fate is cyclical and that things are destined to repeat, but Flora disagrees, saying that she believes that it's more of a spiral. I deadass think she's right, after seeing what the Skull Knight *probably* did to the previous God Hand, and that his lover died in his arms in the Old Capitol... might be VERY important information for Guts to have Especially since he basically seems to be facing the choice of whether or not to become the Skull Knight and "let his hatred consume him" or "to use his rage to keep him alive". Skull Knight has been pushing Guts to try to make different choices than he did, and I don't doubt Flora helped as well, trying to resist the flow of Causality. Let us also not forget a warning from the Skull Knight: "You must choose between killing Griffith and saving Casca, you cannot do both." If Guts goes to Falconia with the intentions of killing Griffith, driven mad by his rage and hatred, he will be unable to kill Griffith. If Guts goes to save Casca, I think it'll knock Griffith off balance and he'll lose to Guts, very similarly to when Guts left the Band of the Hawk. Plus, it *is* possible to hit Griffith, we have seen Rickert do it, so perhaps one cannot strike Griffith down with hatred in their heart? Maybe Rickert or Casca was always supposed to be the one to kill Griffith, and Guts needs to be the one to protect them? I truly can't wait to see how this all comes together, so hyped for more chapters whenever they actually come out
its still surreal to see berserk continue and you cover the new chapters. i was watching berserk saga when it was still coming out part by part and i was certain it was over at 364, but we berserk fans have suffered too much and deserve to see the actual ending...
My Theory: Skull Knight will tell Guts about a way to beat and kill Griffith ( Or maybe Guts learns this on his own ) and so he'll set out to kill Griffith either through leaving the party or them joining him to avenge the lives lost at Elfhelm. Casca will probably have to undergo some huge mental growth to allow her to fight the apostles one by one and in theory through confronting her past directly and turning her trauma into a strength, she'll probably be able to face Guts again and the two will reunite thus bringing us to the happy ending that we were promised.
What I think it is Griffith's body is vulnerable when the demon child takes over I think he took casca because the child's kept going towards her putting him in danger
I felt like the beast of darkness knew Guts couldn’t hit Griffith. Thus giving him control in the fight in order to drive him in that mental state. Because if the beast took over Guts would’ve gave only see sharp teeth instead of his attack outright on connecting with Griffith. Leaving his mental state somewhat more intact.
Almight has quite literally given berserk a voice to such a large audience to fall in love with, including myself. and if that was the goal then he damn well went above and beyond.
Building off your points: -Sonia's an apostle, we just haven't seen here demonic form yet (or have we??) -At the beginning of the Griffith fight, the beast did try to take over, but Guts was too pissed off to let it happen.
another thing with Sonia and her very likely knowing what they were going to do with Elfhelm, that also means she likely knew what she was doing when she invited Schierke to the Band of the Hawk and paints her whole scene with Schierke in a whole new twisted light I can buy her not being insistent on Schierke not coming with her because there's no real reason to show her hand like that in front of potential enemies and also probably reasoned that just one witch, and an inexperienced one at that, probably wouldn't pose too much of a threat in the long run so yeah, disaster very narrowly averted And another thing with the Beast of Darkness not doing anything during the Griffith fight, I figured the scene in the boat was where everything just hit Guts all at once emotionally and it was waiting until that point to do anything
For me, the devils in the details...the fact that Guts got the one hair on his head means something....not sure what but it does mean something. Also, it all wasn't for nothing as casca now has her memories back (both the bad AND the good...I'm hoping when casca sees the woman who used to take care of her, that will come back to her and she will remember the love Guts had for her and since Griffith has love for her, she would be the only one who could get close enough to him to actually hurt him but that's just a theory...at this point, what if Guts uses the bailiff to become strong enough to kill him
Two possible outcomes, at minimum: 1: Griffiths isn't invulnerable. 2: The Moonlight Child is working against Griffiths even as Griffiths uses the child against Guts and his friends. 3: the moonlight child's presence in Griffith's might leave him vulnerable to attack, or the moonlight child might be separated from Griffith, removing a lot of his power. On the subject of the behelit: What if Guts sacrifices Griffiths? And what if refusing the behelit actually gives you more options and opportunities, instead of the false power of the godhand?
Aight, in grand well established tradition we shall be receiving news or a new chapter real soon. Most likely tomorrow. Not like it hasn't happened before.
What if the beast was an agent of Griffith? The beast itself was born from hatred of Griffith so it might consider him to be a parental figure, there might be some kind of loyalty there.
Loli, you think the beast of darkness was waiting to manifest after Gut's realization he couldn't do anything so it could manipulate him to FULLY rely on its power? Perhaps Shrek might tap into some taboo black magic to free Guts using his behelit from the beasts control? Just an idea I thought up.
I'm glad there weren't as many casualties as could have been especially among the core members, ive always dreaded the thought of guts closest companions dying unnatural and horrific deaths. Safe for now atleast.
It should be said that the Beherit that Guts has is not meant for him. According to several characters in the story, he is carrying it someone else. It could be Casca's
@King Cesar slan stated when guts fought her in her "womb" that he could always use the behelit as an easy way out and to gain more power, so I'm thinking that maybe it doesn't matter if your branded or not, maybe anyone can use it regardless if they have been sacrificed or not. We don't know the rules because this is like the first time someone has survived the sacrifice aspect of the ritual. Honestly I find it stupid that Griffith gets to be a member of the God hand even though his sacrifices were not all killed off as per the agreement. If anything that alone would be more than enough to inspire him to want guts and casca dead but he has his power and knows guts only wants to be left alone so why keep pursuing him and making him pissed off?
I think the reason the beast of darkness didn't take over when Griffith appeared harkened back to when he was reborn at the Tower of Conviction. Guts was in awe... Same thing when Griffith just walked up to the Kushan general and killed him in front of his troops... Griffith's mere presence must have some emotional/Od manipulation ability
Hold up this makes me think... What if being a Godhand isn't enough for ol' Griffy... With his actions and abilities to manipulate emotions/perception, he might be trying to become God itself by replacing the Idea of Evil in the collective consciousness of humanity... Being something tangible that all of humanity can believe in... That would make the crimson behelit not just a key to the deeper layers of reality, but also a powerful barrier to keep the remainder of one's ego after a sacrifice from just being absorbed into the world of ideas...
Really hoping this hiatus is just a chance for them to actually get some content built-up so the Berserk train can start rolling for a good amount of time. i've been waiting for over 20 years to see the conclusion of this story and after this chapter it feels like we literally slammed everything in reverse and now everyone on the "good side" is back at square one or worse. This better have a satisfying end. 😄👍
On the whole subject of who pushed out Schierke i lean to it more being Guts rather than the BOD. The Beast has rejected her entry before during the Sea God island chapters and it was almost immediately. But it was the deliberate show of all his struggles, his battles, his path of carnage all concluding with the urge to crush Griffith portrayed by the BOD fangs. The swelling emotional turmoil inside Guts was so intense it expelled her and caused his collapse and it fits perfectly with both the monologue done after the moment and how inconsolable he feels in the moment

I am already read to come back bro!
It’s definitely this. They’re compiling notes, storyboarding, Binging hours of Idol Master. Anything to under Miura San.
Yeah I hope they do at least a little more with Puck going forward. He's kinda gotten the shaft since the party formed and hasn't had much impact on the story since. Although the coup gag actually did give me a good laugh. Especially when Loli paired it with the Kanye song.
I'm still holding out for the day when Puck becomes relevant to the plot again.

Definitely a good opportunity for Puck to return to his roots as a moral counselor
I love when Puck cheered Guts up during this immense episode of despair by saying Star Wars references
I think what makes this chapter so hitting to me is how it points out how Guts has always depended on his sword, whether it's the Dragon Slayer, the heavy swords he used with the Band of the Hawk, or the normal swords he used as an infant.

Every 10 years of struggling guts tears one hair off griffith
Guts only managed to cut a hair off Griffiths at the start of golden age...
Guts has to give up his hate to win. A man can not live by hate lest he be consumed by darkness and become evil. He is clearly at a crossroads of darkness and light, I’ve been there. Hardest challenge so far.
Yeah I see 2 ways of ending berserk
Either guts kills griffith
Or griffith gets consumed by his ambition while guts saves casca and lets go of his hatred.
@TheAlmightyLoli
Maybe the reason why the Beast didn’t do anything when it saw Griffith is that it wouldn’t do any better & that would allow Guts to ignore the seduction of the Beast if he saw it be ineffective… now if the beast didn’t act it gets to promise Guts power, revenge, fury smothering out Guts’ despair.
Hey, that was MY reaction to Guts in the last chapter, too. "Someone give this guy a hug..."
9:48
Another character that's also currently on Falconia and knows Casca: *Charlotte.* Basically one of the pillars of the whole damn city, and one of the things that allow Griffith to have as much political sway as he does. Imagine when she finds out the woman she saw rescue Griffith from the tower of rebirth all these years ago is now a broken mess because of her lover.
"Back to the 'hiatuses'. Back to the suffering. Back to Berserk!"
Please keep covering these new chapters your content is awesome
But that's only speculation and no one really knows what was in Miura's head except Mori, so thank god he's writing the story now and we'll be able to see Miura's ending at least at a conceptual level
i think the fact that he pulled a hair off is huge. it seems to me this is a hint that Griffith isn’t totally invincible
I also hope Casca is not some damsel in distress. It does not suit her character
He kept seeking out his parents, particularly it’s mother, which were hundreds of miles away, so Griffith took casca for this presumably.
i think the beast of darkness didnt take over when Griffith appeared was because gut's anger was faster than the armor itself, because we can see the beast kinda slither up the cloak at the beginning but guts moved in first
That boat is cursed I swear, first time they go on it there's a 7 year hiatus and now they're back on the boat there could be another one.
Or the maiden will overcome her traumas and get out of the tower!

I can see guts with the beast of darkness just marching towards Falconia as darkness takes over the sky following guts the more he walks.
I deadass think she's right, after seeing what the Skull Knight *probably* did to the previous God Hand, and that his lover died in his arms in the Old Capitol... might be VERY important information for Guts to have
Especially since he basically seems to be facing the choice of whether or not to become the Skull Knight and "let his hatred consume him" or "to use his rage to keep him alive".
I truly can't wait to see how this all comes together, so hyped for more chapters whenever they actually come out
Hmmmm that’s a new way of thinking

its still surreal to see berserk continue and you cover the new chapters. i was watching berserk saga when it was still coming out part by part and i was certain it was over at 364, but we berserk fans have suffered too much and deserve to see the actual ending...
Waiting for your summarize of 372. Cmon dude

@@perfectsid333 during the first duel in the Golden age era, Guts only managed to take a single hair from Griffith's head...
Building off your points:
-Sonia's an apostle, we just haven't seen here demonic form yet (or have we??)
-At the beginning of the Griffith fight, the beast did try to take over, but Guts was too pissed off to let it happen.
An Apostle tried to eat Sonia in the forest, no?
another thing with Sonia and her very likely knowing what they were going to do with Elfhelm, that also means she likely knew what she was doing when she invited Schierke to the Band of the Hawk and paints her whole scene with Schierke in a whole new twisted light
I can buy her not being insistent on Schierke not coming with her because there's no real reason to show her hand like that in front of potential enemies and also probably reasoned that just one witch, and an inexperienced one at that, probably wouldn't pose too much of a threat in the long run
so yeah, disaster very narrowly averted
And another thing with the Beast of Darkness not doing anything during the Griffith fight, I figured the scene in the boat was where everything just hit Guts all at once emotionally and it was waiting until that point to do anything

This isn't the first time guts only managed to harm a single hair on Griffiths head...
For me, the devils in the details...the fact that Guts got the one hair on his head means something....not sure what but it does mean something. Also, it all wasn't for nothing as casca now has her memories back (both the bad AND the good...I'm hoping when casca sees the woman who used to take care of her, that will come back to her and she will remember the love Guts had for her and since Griffith has love for her, she would be the only one who could get close enough to him to actually hurt him but that's just a theory...at this point, what if Guts uses the bailiff to become strong enough to kill him
Two possible outcomes, at minimum:
1: Griffiths isn't invulnerable.
2: The Moonlight Child is working against Griffiths even as Griffiths uses the child against Guts and his friends.
3: the moonlight child's presence in Griffith's might leave him vulnerable to attack, or the moonlight child might be separated from Griffith, removing a lot of his power.
On the subject of the behelit:
What if Guts sacrifices Griffiths?
And what if refusing the behelit actually gives you more options and opportunities, instead of the false power of the godhand?

Berserk Log 371: Well… it's over. Mmm. Casca and I, well, she was kidnapped, 'cause birdman tricked me again.
What if the beast was an agent of Griffith? The beast itself was born from hatred of Griffith so it might consider him to be a parental figure, there might be some kind of loyalty there.
if griffith is gone the hate will be gone too , so the beast woulld die . it's more self preservation than loyalty i think
Shrek is best gal
I'm glad there weren't as many casualties as could have been especially among the core members, ive always dreaded the thought of guts closest companions dying unnatural and horrific deaths. Safe for now atleast.
It should be said that the Beherit that Guts has is not meant for him. According to several characters in the story, he is carrying it someone else. It could be Casca's
But she’s already a sacrifice for someone else, so would that even work for her then?
the only character that i thought mightve used it was serpico but not so much atm
