can you list the specific cables you used. i can't get anything to work

With Mac, It's the USB-C to USB-A Data cable (from Controller to Dongle/Converter) and an USB-A to USB-C Dongle/Converter that is connected to my MacBook. Don't do direct USB-C to USB-C because it won't work.
With Windows, about any cable is working (at least for me).
Tip: try to force a firmware update on the controller if nothing is working. It was a problem for quite a few people - the controller does connect but will not work in simulators.

Hi folks. Is it possible connect RC-2 to PC. I don't find anything about this. Thanks a lot.

      Hi there,
While it's possible to connect the DJI RC 2 (if we're talking about the controller with screen for the Mini 4 Pro or Air 3) to a computer for various reasons like updating firmware and transferring data, unfortunately, there may be issues to use it with FPV simulators. (In our case, we used the DJI FPV RC 2)
Most standard GPS drone controllers are not compatible with FPV simulators, as far as my knowledge. Ultimately, I can't 100% confirm this, but I've tried in the past to use standard drone controllers with Liftoff and other simulators and never managed to make it work.
You may need to use an FPV controller instead (or Xbox / PlayStation controller)

hey how are my man? what os version is your mac? I can't connect my controller even working the way you showed, my system is sonoma 14.1.1

Hey there. It's Sonoma 14.2.1 but at the time I made the video it was a slightly older MacOS version. I always had it to the latest updates but that is less likely to be the reason.
From what you have told me, there could be one possible solution that someone similarly had.
The controller may be outdated. Someone from here had issues with connecting to Liftoff, even if it connected to the Mac. It had an outdated version of the controller and after updating it, it worked just fine.
But let me question again: It doesn't want to work in Liftoff or doesn't connect to the Mac?
Let me know of your progress.

Thanks for tour answer! After watching your video I installed dji assistant 2 for fpv, updated the controller and it worked fine. The one thing that has to be mentioned is the cable that must be usb a to usb c, as you mentioned otherwise it will not work. 👍🏼

Thanks for video! May be you know, is it possible to connect DJI Mini 2 controller to Liftoff?
I have one, but in my country drones are restricted nowadays and I want so much to fly in simulator at least

Hello and thank you for the appreciation.
Sadly, it probably won’t work (I haven’t tried but I know the DJI RC-N1 does not work well with FPV Simulators)
And even if it will, the throttle stick will self-center and you don’t want that as it will be difficult to practice even in Liftoff.
There are some very cheap fpv remote controllers that works with Liftoff and maybe if you have an Xbox or PS4 controller, that’ll work as well, but same throttle-center stick problem.

If you used USB-C to USB-A cable and USB-A to USB-C dongle to connect it should work just fine.
However, in some instances, it may not work if the firmware is outdated. (Like is seen by the Mac but can’t do much with it)
Update it with the DJI Assistant 2 (DJI FPV) or something like it.

usbc to usba cable + usba to usbc adapter for the mac, so you connect the controller to the Mac through an USB-A cable and not directly usb-c to usb-c
