Is the female also called Nannostomus amaya or is that a different spezies like mortenthaleri? Does all the fry looks like the female or do some have the full red colour like the male? Hello. Only the males are red. The color comes later, Just like rubrocaudatus and mortenthaleri . Some females have a little red in the fins . Others don't. I still have not found the right trigger to let them spawn.

Yes. Especially in the beginning there were only males. I was tipped from someone at the wholsale!
