Your walking vids have an ASMR quality to it with the soft spoken narration and funny comments. Most travel vloggers would be yelling like "SO THIS IS THE CAFE AROUND THE CORNER AND JUST BEHIND THAT THERE'S AN AQUARIUM"
Yes, his voice does definitely have a restful, ASMR quality. Makes these videos all the more enjoyable. 🙂
lol
Good morning Johnny! Great walk through the Bangla Town neighbourhood along Danforth Avenue. Hope everyone has a great day!
I pass through here every few days or so. The local fb groups are all scare-mongering about Danforth and Main but I’ve only ever had positive/normal interactions with folks just going about their day. Really interesting part of our city imo, the juxtaposition of the misc towers and quasi suburban housing, proximity to transit, etc.
Been a resident of the area for close to 6 years barring some stretches on danforth where there is a rehab it is a relatively safe area and very convenient transit wise
@@rahul123715 of course tonight I saw a guy in a bmw run a red at Main right after he freaked out us for riding bikes but I’m guessing that’s not the crime folks in the upper beaches are thinking of ;-)
Yes kevin
Hi Johnny, it's always nice watching you walk through some of my old haunts, like this stretch of the Danforth, nice to see Duckworth fish and chips is still there as well as a few other places 👍. Wing Wing is still there but I didn't see what used to be my favorite pool hall, The Silver Cue. It was upstairs in the stretch where the Wing Wing restaurant is. Fun video 😊
Great video! I used to live close by and watching you walk through Bangla Town brings back memories :)
Nice video. Enjoyed seeing the stores and restaurants in Bangla Town.
There are a few random kooks that show up along this section of the street, being a frequent commuter thru this area. I'm glad that the bus bays @ Main St. Station had finally reopened.
I enjoy your videos keep up the great work.

You are more than welcome to our country any day!
Great to see the Bangla Town video! I'm moving from Bangladesh soon and I know Danforth has a large Bangladeshi population. Though I'm not planning to live there, it's good to see the tour!
Thanks Johnny - long time follower here!
Johnny Strides 😊😊😊
good morning everyone
Good morning
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Love the retail sector there..
Have a good day my dear friend, cảm ơn Anh nhiều lắm
Nice! But if you'd filmed on a Sunday night on a stretch of Danforth, past Sibley Ave, you'd see how lively it gets. I'd say Bangla Town really begins there and goes east past Victoria Park Ave. With multiple condos in the works, the neighbourhood will change again, in a few years. Thanks for the video.
Those "workers' cottages" on Albion used to be called Post-War Bungalows, because the government sponsored a whole lot of affordable housing, coupled with plentiful labour for returning soldiers. Early 1950's. Modest places, but they do the trick, especially for New Canadians just getting started.
Did you notice that guy in the subway station took a bottle of Pepsi from the garbage and drank it.
😂 did you not read the comment 1 hr ago stating the same fact?
Omg yes gross
At the very outset a raving loony, raving. Getting a little like Ken's...How many non-Bangladeshis employed in Bangla businesses. Tend to be very few non-Chinese in Chinatowns..
JOHNNY I AM A BIG FAN OF YOU ❤COULD YOU PLEASE SHOW US ALBINO RD TORONTO THAT SIDE LET US ENJOY ❤ LOVE YOU BRO
Never heard it called that. Is the Danny for me
Can you do an walk through the Eglinton crosstown when it opens in 2024 And a ride on that as well Cheers from Guelph Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Good.afternoon.johnny
Love from Bangladesh and banglatown looks amazing for Bengali
Johnny, your walk answered one question I put to Ken, but it raised another one. You walked by a school. Our schools are open and the neighborhood full of yellow school buses. There is extensive busing to allow parents to apply to school they think will be better than the closest one. Do GTA kids walk to school, take transit (some locals here do), or get a parental ride? My neighbors on the block with kids in two different schools just load them in the car and drive them. Oh, and the answered question was: If your residence doesn't have a laundry in the building, can you take it to a self-service. You walked right by one.
Possible answer. Looks like bus service is a for fee option. Otherwise a lady says kids need to enroll in their own neighborhood where they can walk. But seeing those streets reminds me of when I did walking to school. Only one risky street between home and elementary school. No school bus available (in Portland OR) but all of us survived the walking reqirement.
Oh no. Not Ikea furniture🫣😳.😂💚. In is an interesting conzept. Beer store. In Dk. You can buy beer, wine and stronger stuff at the local grocery store.
খুব গর্ব লাগে যখন বাংলাদেশীরা বিদেশে গিয়ে ভালো একটা অবস্থান তৈরি করে
I'm glad I moved out 20 years ago. Perfect timing.
00:35 score!

The whole area has always given my a feeling of disquietude, an uneasiness like something bad is about to happen.
yes a depression similar or worse than 90's
Didn’t know there is a Bangla town in the city😂 by the way is there a Ukrainian town in Toronto? I know sept15-17 is Ukrainian festival
That's where the Ukranian community is!

It wasn't until I left Toronto that I realized how aesthetically-challenged it is. It's so utterly charmless and ugly!
Good morning everyone
