well, it depends on the way you drive. if you drive like this car is a Volvo then you will be disappointed and die. if you don't venture out of 60kph then you will be OK because you will have time to avoid everything on the road from a cow to crazy interstate buses.

In the meantime, thousands of rash, inconsiderate, careless and dangerous drivers take to the roads each day. What safety from these people who don't know how to drive straight, overspeed, zig zag through janes, take shortcuts on the wrong side of the road. Only prayers may help but something tells me there is a waiting list there.

We r totally not disappointed with this as earlier it had scored 0 star. Today atleast it scored 1 star. Kudos to spresso 🙏🙏. The day is not so far when spresso will score better than volvo and Range Rover.

Recently in Kerala, A husband and pregnant wife burnt to death inside the Spresso of Maruti due to electric shortage having cheap parts and 🔌 plugs. This car also met with an accident with a TaTa vehicle where the owner/driver inside the car in SPresso died instantly and the other guy is safe with little injury. Moral of the story is never buy a car having one star ⭐ rating like SPresso, you will lose your family with fatal accidents.

can anybody explain how do they evaluate the test becoz spresso with 20 out of 34 was given only 1 star and on the other hand scopio with 29 out of 34 was given 5 stars.
as a layman it seems to me as a bias.
Rating is done not only with the overall score but also with the specified minimum requirements.
A car with overall score 16 and has met minimum requirements for 3 star , it can have 3 star.
In the case of S presso, driver's chest has been found to be poorly protected and hence rating is limited to 1 star.

But a keen observer can have doubts here...in previous tests scorpio,alto,eeco etc had impact on A pillar and its crushed..thus got 0 and1 ...
...Here take s presso and scorpioN..ya it have same design philosophy...so here s presso is with 20, a pillar only have less impact..roof doesnt shaked..only front corner of glass broke,front door damaged
..Look scorpio n with 29.. front glass broken from center..ie body twisted,roof and doorpanels shaked,a pillar had small impact,front door damaged...
ie for an observer it looks same impact....only 9 diff in point but 1 and 5 star...
So i think its giving more star,1 for esp,1for curtain,1for stablebody....but how its equal...s presso with all these will cost 12 lakhs as tata punch...but how punch got 5 star...crushed carens got 3 star...
It's not se simple brother... There is a dummy inside fitted with number of sensors which gives you an idea of extent of injury suffered

Those people who said that spresso will score 3 stars with 2 airbags must get themselves burnol...
In Africa GNCAP S presso scored 8 out of 17 and now GNCAP ratings has become more tough which is good for customers and now in This S presso scored 20 out of 34 and if we compare it with the previous GNCAP scored it would have got 3 three stars

Same spresso tested with old rules scored 3 stars just 6 month back

Because maruti suzuki sells downgraded vehicles in India the 3 star s presso is sold in South Africa and 1 star model sold in India.

There can be much safer cars made in India, just look at Skoda Kushaq/Volkswagen Taigun (they have scored 5 stars), and we know about Tata and Mahindra as well. Also, Suzuki makes more durable cars in India for exporting to Africa and Latin America. It is these double standards that Suzuki does for India, in the name of features and mileage 🤬🤬🤬

scorpio tested for mandatory side pole test to get 5 star. Where as Suzuki cars didn't. Also Scorpio tested for pedestrian crash test, ESP test and suzuki didn't.

Crash test protocol and test report are available in their website. S presso's 1 star is due to the poor protection to the driver's chest.
@@nikhilgarg8198 I don't think so. Since maruti isn't sending car for testing, gncap team is buying from their own pocket and testing the cars. So, to do such tests you need 3 or 4 cars and I don't think they buy these many cars of each model. Also if u have all basic safety features, u will get points for each and every thing like abs, ebd, 2 air bags, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminder and etc,. So getting 19, 20 points is easy task for every car. There after getting points for other stuff like stable body, no door unlock during side impact, etc will give extra stars or points it seems. PS: I'm not car expert, just an enthusiast.

Personally, many car companies design a car for specific country. Take a look for Indian market, they rather cut costs than improving safety and indians customer accept scarifying safety features than to pay extra for safety. Quality also are very undesirable which makes them very uncomfortable and unreliable.

is incredible that this car got 1 star even though the crash passed better than other cars from china even from volkswagen group that got more than 3 stars this looks very weird to me at least should get 2 stars. also if the brands started to do the cars more safer or with all the protections would be impossible to india people to buy it and they are going to buy bike which is worse and one of the main reason of death in india.

I have a question for global ncap. Why are they defaming maruti. A few months back they uploaded the same video for spresso #safer cars for Africa with 3⭐ safety rating and now they are uploading the exact same video #safer car for India with 1⭐ safety rating.
