Great teaching on backing off from the weights. I was a sprint coach for about 5 years. I believe in putting off the weights, not just unloading from 30-50% but off the weights. I saw my athletes times drop all the time.
We recommend light dumbbell work and bodyweight exercises focusing on full range of motion exercises like deep ATG Goblet Squats, split squats, alternating dumbbell presses, and olympic lifts with a dowel rod to 15kg bar for coordination and mobility

It’s normal to lose weight during the season when you’re running gassers, sprints, up downs in the 95 degree weather. That’s why you should be around 5-10 lbs above your weight goal for the season so that when you lose it, you won’t feel weaker
I had a question for you? you said you worked with poliquin and I was wondering what he and you thought about something. Should athleats of a sport other that Olympic lifting should do full cleans and snatches or just power cleans and snatches?

I think it's a great start for rugby. Many of the same training applies. We are aiming to release our rugby specific program later this year.

Yes. We have all of our athletes do FULL CLEANS and FULL SNATCHES.
