i did mine but the problem i ran into and still cant figure out is when i put the spring on the top wouldn’t fully compress and have no play even after full tightening the top hat bolt
If you don’t mind me asking Did you do any other suspension mods for the drop other than springs and struts? Cuz I heard you gotta get all that stuff (endlinks, camber kit, c arms, balljoints etc) for the car to feel good and not break anything. Im sure it can’t be that bad right? Im trying to drop my sport but I don’t wanna spend allot just want looks..
Did the spring on my 24 sport touring hatch yesterday and got the rears and passenger front done within 3 hours, but the driver front took my a lil over 2 hours. i just took the tie rod end and lessened the lower ball joint.
That low, the middle to back section reminds me of a BMW and I really like it. The difference lowering a car can make. I really hope to get one of these soon here in Europe (No SI version, sad) But the regular hybrid with some cosmetic mods might be the perfect daily car. Good video btw.
Did you use a spring compressor or did you uncompressed the spring while the strut was still bolted to the car? I’m doing springs on my car next week and was wondering about that
I honestly had the same problem with the front but I eventually figured it out what should’ve been a two or three hour job took me about eight hours because I got frustrated so I took a break ate take a shower and then realized what was going on😂
Yes it can also make it from spoon springs, it usually happens due to not sitting perfectly in the spring cup, not torqued properly, or sway bar not torqued after car is down.
I just installed a set of h&r sport springs on 22 civic hatch and I’m hearing a clunking/popping noise on my front passenger side my mechanic did not cut down the bump stops he simply just swapped it over so assuming that could be the problem I noticed you guys cut it down on this install
@@maganamfgnah the middle nut is torqued down really good I’ve asked a few friends of mine on facebook and they all telling me it’s the bump stop, there saying because the bump stops are higher for the factory springs but being I installed h&r lowering springs it’s bottoming out too soon
@@Loso0523 yes this is true...... but better to check those items i mention first as its an easy thing to correct. Goodluck and since you are there check all the bolts again!

Glad to see more people running the D2’s! I paired them with Truhart shocks. Most bang for your buck with the drop! I love them :)
Glad to hear! If looking for any other mods feel free to check out my website. As I update 11thgen catalog

What about the Honda E?
Did you use a spring compressor or did you uncompressed the spring while the strut was still bolted to the car? I’m doing springs on my car next week and was wondering about that
yes sir, can get the tool from autozone for free rental

Lol yeah I think we all have this issue when we first do it.
How did you figure it out lol, I’m sitting here trying to get it out of the knuckle and it won’t budge
Heard a few people say d2s and swift spec Rs can make a knocking noise do you need spring silencers at all or is that from bad installation?
Yes it can also make it from spoon springs,
it usually happens due to not sitting perfectly in the spring cup, not torqued properly, or sway bar not torqued after car is down.
@@maganamfg that explains a lot thank you for the reply
How did your spring install go? Any clunks?
is it safe to disconnect the brake lines?
not required to install springs. if you disconnect lines ever just like coolant will get air in system and need to be bled
Torque specs posted anywhere?

Yes we cut the bump stop, but also could be the shock tower (3 nuts), the center one in the shock (visible under hood) not torqued down.

I had a 10th gen civic with d2 springs just bought a 11th gen sport do the springs fit it so i can swap them over
Yes springs are technically interchangeable
Hey bro! Do you think skunk2 lowering spring from 10th gen civic lx will fit on a 11th gen civic si?
Technically 10thgen and 11thgen si springs are the same.
I cannot confirm if the base springs fit the si well.
Is there a need for a spring compressor?
Yes, you should always use a spring compressor to reduce risk of injury
@@maganamfg Where's yours then? 😆Yes for liability reasons, but realistically there isn't enough tension in the stock springs to need one.
@@MachineCreature ahaha touche
How much is it to Install? Everyone in my area is asking like 800 bucks labor. I don't get that.
Contact him directly, I think his rate would be under 3 hour rate.
Bro I just did it on my si and it’s honestly not that hard , make sure you have a friend it makes it way easier

all springs for 11th gen fit base, lx, ex, dx, si, besides type r is different
Yes in theory, but due to weight, have different spring rates.
Just picked up a 11th gen civic ST hatch do you know of these fit on it ?
Sport? They should but they actually have there own part number.
