What servers have the functioning trains???
As someone who used to work for the railroad and has piloted a few trains, this is pretty realistic. Especially for a non train game. The movements and sounds as pretty spot on. There are people that actually go around and uncouple train cars for fun, which causes big headaches! Trains can have trouble on hills and need help from a “pusher Engine” if they are overweight or the hill is too steep. Just fyi, the proper way to sound the horn is 2 long, 1 short and 1 long at every intersection. Keep up the good work!
How about 10 years ago my neighbor used to be a engineer. All I know is he made good money.
Do train engineers usually drink on the job?? Because I thought this conductor was a bit tipsy 😂
Engineers for union railroads especially do make good money. Drinking is generally frowned upon on the job!
Luckily in the apocalypse, the rail commission has other worries. Like all being zombies.

This has been so many people's dream since they ever laid their hands on Dayz.
Craig became as reliable as actual city rail after about 20mins of being a train driver, just leaving passangers behind, dribing on the wrong direction.
Not to mention the old guy drinking petrol, people getting murdered, its just like real public transport

It would be awesome is the train just continually went around the map automatically and people could jump on and off as needed.

maybe, but having to add fuel etc to get it running is a nice kind site task in a game that has no real quests other than what you or the server owners create for yourselves. Possibly repair damage parts as he said they can be damaged and couple carts etc. Building up the carts would be epic.

I really want to know what would happen if the train stayed on the two split tracks like it was at 28:57 at the train depo and kept moving!!! That poor kid (Super Puppy) literally had just commited to helping out and then screamed out in panic!!!
I am part of a group that plays every sunday. We went on a train server today and got it going. hooked up 3 cars and the shenanigan's ensued. we had 20 people on the train and it was AMAZING. I have been playing dayz since 2012 (arma2) and this is the best mod ever.

The amount of granular detail in DayZ is amazing. And that synching of network objects - and smooth vehicle-in-vehicle movement is very impressive. Now if we could have some of this object interaction and anims in Arma 3 with slightly improved graphics, a new particle effects system and improved AI pathing - we'd have a great Arma 4. Not asking much. :)
