you forgot to mention all it takes is two hacksaws and 30 minutes of time to get through 1 gate. The real key to base building is overhoarding tools, then build multiple gates in a building
Randomly came across your video. Very nicely done. Good information for people learning how to build a base. Only suggestion I could possibly have would be. To maybe add the controls for both consoles Tone of console players out there
This is why I hate the build system in this game. If you factor in loot time, it can take up about 2 hours real time just to build a wall. Yet for a raider, they can get pass that wall in less than 5 mins with an axe. There is a huge unfair advantage to those ratios.
Its called survival bro... Base building is part of your end game if you get there... Quickest way you can speed that process up? Is playing modded servers with traders. BTW, only here for the lol's 'n' comments

You can go to a house with one entrance and make multiple gates. This will make the raiders use 2 or 3x more resources to be able to raid you

Check out the server Aftermath Beyond the Fog. Better than official

This works for all official servers but if you are looking for a more rust like server I’d recommend Rearmed
Look into the TTK paradise server, by far best server on DayZ.
