This would have been a perfect performance on Lip Synch Battle. In The UK so many Boy Bands have admitted that US Boy Bands like Boyz To Men were a major influence on them growing up. Dan Hartman who wrote the Song also wrote James Brown's Comeback Hit "Living In America" and it was parodied as Living With A Hernia. @Denise Bacher very true although I guess the actor certainly got the lip movement synchronized pretty well. Maybe this was the inspiration for Milli Vanilli LOL but yeah this was actually session singers that did the song for the movie same backing track but not Dan Hartman voice that you typically would be hearing playing the song on the radio certainly back in the eighties they did that a lot and to a lesser extent in the 90s to minimize how much they had to pay in royalties because every time the film aired from start to finish songs and all certainly they had to pay all of the artists and easier to pay them a snippet of it to versus the whole kit and caboodle. Funny thing is since of course Dan Hartman passed away a lot more stations are actually playing the track from the film when it comes up in rotation or request

Yep and Robert Townsend as well
I love Dan Hartman, but I really love the performance from these guys❤️❤️❤️
Yeah these actors are so great I marvel that they’re not the actual singers!
This is one of those great songs that has me stopping whatever I'm doing to sing along. I have to listen even if
I'm catching only the last thirty seconds. I was surprised when I first learned this was a Dan Hartman tune after
seeing and hearing him with Edgar Winter. I love when the Sorels break into the moonwalk. That scene became
a great music video.
El mejor grupo ficticio de toda la historia cinematográfica.
Robert Townsend went on to make a banger of a movie called "the five heartbeats.A true classic.
I remember this song when it came out. It's easy to the ears & soul, during a time wheb dreams where more real 🎶 ✨️ and more ❤......it was less complicated, going back to the true roots of ❤
i love this song
❤ Dan Hartman ❤ Hall & Oats ❤ great song 🎶 need to watch this movie 🎥 too...
One of the better jobs lip syncing. So many times I’ve gone back to watch old videos and just amazed how off the lip syncing was.
Song still holds up.
One of the best 80s songs and tonight is what it means to be young. Should be in all 80s playlists.
The music in the 80tys was kick ass . So many great bands .
brilliant song and a brilliant film streets or fire all of it typical 80s
What a great song!
One of my favourite movies ever !
Ellstin Limehouse is a really smooth dancer!!!
Such a great song. Not only a classic but great acting for the movie. They all went on to acting careers. You can tell they enjoyed being there at that moment. Thats great acting. Miss that about the old school stuff. They were hungry in the entertainment field. Today, people get into the biz for money, not the art.
I love this 80s movie...I saw it on cable tv then. I wish I have seen in theaters then instead💭🎟😘🎙
A Great Song and Video one of my my Favorite songs too. It's Very Sad that Dan Hartman passed away at the very height of his career. We lost a Great Talent. R I P DAN.
Que buena canción, buenos recuerdos de los 80’s. Y pensar que todos son actores, no pareciera que no son el artista que canta esta canción. Qué tiempos, buen video muy buena coreografía👌
The backslide!
Absolutely love this soundtrack. I was born in 86 and remember watching this movie as a kid with my dad...still one of my all time favs!
Great song and soundtrack. Streets of Fire is a great film!
