This is my favorite season, and I'm a pokémon fan, for me that tells a lot. Here we had development, lost, emotions, amazing battles and less "we were chosen" for more "is our responsability." Here the protaginists weren't chosen, they had no responsability, but they made it their responsability, and better, the being a tamer wasn't exclusive of just them. Tamers for me is the best season of Digimon.
It practically the best had the vibes of being on adventure, warm, cool , and disturbing dark moments. Honestly i want more digimon like tamers. Granted i'm probably M lol since i also played world 1 back then, kinda baffles how can little me powers through all that xd.

"Digimon Tamers" (with the German dub) is one of my 3 favorit shows ever alongside "Wakfu" and "Made in Abyss". These adorable and heartwarming yet dark and exciting adventure cartoons absolutly my cup of tea.
Favorite season hands down. Would like a remaster of it though since some of the CGI dosent hold up well. I don't think it needs a reboot like adventure, I would be afraid they would water down the character development for action.
The action scenes for Digimon have not aged well sadly. They really don't have the same rewatchability as shows with good action, like I've rewatched most of soul eater's fights 3 to 4 times each.
They actually released an audio drama sequel idea in 2018 I think. It was really bad, involving time travel and other stuff that felt so far out from the original. If they do a sequel I hope they don't follow that route...
