Henry tried helping them in keeping the story accurate to the books, which worked for the first couple seasons. But they eventually decided that it was time to make their own story, and when Henry found out how much they were changing he left! Some of the staff tried spinning things, with writers accusing him misogyny and being disruptive as a coworker, only for crew and fellow actors to reject those claims! Once again, the "know-it-all" re-writers attempted character assassination over the disapproval of their story-change and writing! Most of the time they target the fans of the franchise! But you try it with someone as big and beloved as Henry Cavill, you aren't recovering from that!
I have good news for you - Henry Cavill has already been announced to be the executive producer on the Warhammer project. Amazon has the distribution licence, but an independent studio is actually producing the project, and Henry Cavill is in charge of it. There is hope yet that he might be able to bring his vision to the screen without undue interference.

Being against DEI isn't being against media featuring women, people of colour or gay people, but instead is being against media that forces in characters of those backgrounds that are clearly there just to check a box off on a list. Actually well written characters that happen to apart of one of those groups are good, but characters who's only defining trait is "I'm a woman!" or "I'm gay" with no personality or character development aren't good since if anything makes a mockery of those groups.

I've heard that the show has been canceled. While disappointing, it was Cavill's decision which is all I need to know. In Cavill I trust.
