The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is the premier late night talk show on CBS, airing at 11:35pm EST, streaming online via Paramount+, and delivered to the International Space Station on a USB drive taped to a weather balloon. Every night, viewers can expect: Comedy, humor, funny moments, witty interviews, celebrities, famous people, movie stars, bits, humorous celebrities doing bits, funny celebs, big group photos of every star from Hollywood, even the reclusive ones, plus also jokes.
This interview wasn't long enough. Holland Taylor is a legend and one of the best character actresses of our time. Her performance in her one-woman show "Ann" was absolutely brilliant.

@@smugandsmarmy Would love to see her on another chatter show paired with another great mind, and let them have at it. First choice: Another female actor. Second choice: Steve Martin? Alan Alda? But who else? Doesn't need to be a comedian.
The Chair is the great show this season. Ms. Taylor’s performance is amazing and I loved that she embraced the character showing her age without makeup and obviously no plastic surgery. Naturally beautiful. An inspiration.
She's had a face lift and some tweaks here and there. Whoever her surgeon was did a mostly great job, but left some telltale signs. I watch far too much RUclips.
I would pay to see Colbert do a half hour interview of just one subject. Holland Taylor is a legend and there is so much we could learn to hear her speak about her career.
I absolutely adore this woman. Her character in Two an a Half Men was hilarious, such great performances. I'll give it a try to this series now that I know she's on it.

I enjoy it when Stephen has actors on that have performed in theatre. You can see how comfortable they are in front of the audience and how interact with them. Hollan Taylor is such an amazing story teller.

Loved this lady since I first encountered her on The Naked Truth.
For me it was The Practice. She was so incredible as Roberta Kittleson. That show was chock a block full of kooky characters but they were all grounded in something real, something true to the human experience & she just knocked it out of the park every single time! A force of nature, that one.

I love that Holland always pays homage to her acting teacher Stella Adler. Wish she had more time to share some anecdotes. This segment with was criminally too short for such a national treasure of a woman.

As much as I like Mr. Colbert, it makes me INSANE when he (or any other Host) invites an Icon/Legand like Holland Taylor on, and gives them 4 minutes. Why bother...seriously. Anyway...The Chair is a pretty good show (with our very own Sandra Oh, et all) and Ms. Taylor is Awesome in it.

Holland Taylor is one of my faves. She was in a hilarious comedy in the 80’s with Tea Leoni called “The Naked Truth”. It only lasted a couple seasons, unfortunately.
She’s got a million stories I could listen to her all night. Lucky Sarah gets to hear her all the time ❤ and Stephen that was too short!!!

I love love love her in the chair! her character (and others) is so well portrayed in its being torn between liberalism and conservatism. the professor who teaches chaucer bc of his sexual insinuations, but also the professor who chastises the woman working in the equal opportunity office (?) for wearing pants too short. :D
my favorite prof. hambling line is: "I don't cater to consumers' demand" when asked if she reads her students' evaluations? fuckin hilarious. :D

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't talk about her new role and the show itself beyond introducing it in the beginning. I usually only watch the monologue, so I wouldn't know: are stephen's interviews usually that short and random?
Notably short, as several already have noted. As she appeared to have noted at the end. Were they afraid of her?

After watching the all the episodes, it's clear her role may be expanding. I'm sure she'll be on again. Maybe this interview was done this way for those younger members of the audience like me who aren't familiar with her work and to get to know her? Just guessing. TBH I loved the interview, hearing about her interesting past for the first time.

Sometimes I get curious about why people chose other people to be with romantically and so I watch a little interview to see what it was about them that made the other choose them. Well, I can see why Sarah loves this woman, I felt SO compelled by every single thing she said, was only going to watch a minute but found myself mesmerized with how she says thing and how she carries herself.
