Great vid dad! I’m still trying to determine these rattles. After reading a ton of different forums and various video reviews, it would seem it’s the sway bars. Several people recommend removing them entirely. Not sure if that’s the road I want to go down, but only time will tell. Love you dad, I’ll have insta updates soon🤩
Thanks for the update Rick take care of yourself and family and be Blessed ❤️❤️.
Michael, thank you. You do the same.
Great to know the Subaru is still in the family. I’m approaching 70k on mine. Still all stock and curious to compare any issues in common. All the best to you and your family.
Thank you very much! For the most part the car has been pretty solid with no "major" issues at least. :). We shall see what kind of problems pop off after his lift install. Hopefully nothing crazy.
I bought my XV (Crosstrek) new just over four years ago. I've somehow managed to do only 15,000 miles in it. The AWD has proved useful on a few occasions when I briefly took it somewhere that I wouldn't or couldn't take a two wheel drive vehicle and in one of those situations the extremely rigid chassis came into its own. When I find a car I'd rather own, I'll buy it, but I don't expect that to happen for a while.
They are great little cars for sure!
Looks great how it sits! 👌🏻
Thank you!. Seems like a nice set up.
Looks very awesome Rick. Hey Rick did you follow the maintenance program from Subaru at the dealership? Mine is a 2018 and I just got the 5 year check done which they call the D check. They changed the spark plugs and changed the transmission fluid and Rear breaks. They charged me with taxes about $2000 in Canada LoL very expensive as this check calls for 6 hrs labour plus the cost of the rear breaks and labour and charged me $45 to change one of the day running lights. I also had my snow tires already on rims and they charged $20 plus 15 min labour LoL it used to be a free change over if you had your car in for service that already involved removing your tires for a break check. Not anymore as Subaru dealer is getting very expensive.
We have done all of the major services so far. Thankfully we had a pre-paid maintenance deal for the first few years...Subaru has definitely gotten expensive, but I like using the dealer since they know the cars so well.
And thank you! I am really liking the look of the car with the lift. My son is having a lot of fun with it. Have a great weekend.
Love your/your sons Crosstrek. Our 19 has about 70k on it and it’s developed a rattle as well. Dealer wasn’t very helpful. I plan on trying to figure it out myself. Love the lift… it looks great.
Thank you. :).
What kind of/where is your rattle? I had one quite some time ago that sounded like it was coming from the strut tower, passenger side. Subaru replaced spring/strut and it went away.
@@AZdroptop it sounds like a metal shield somewhere under the car. I’ll put it on a lift and take a look soon, just haven’t had the time. The strut tower cap on my passenger side was replaced due to tsb but the top of the strut still rusted out. My dealer also wasn’t helpful… it pops from time to time. Super annoying. Always excited to see your updates. Hope all is well.
The Crosstrek looks great!
It really does and I'm a little jealous ha ha. My son is having a blast and it has made a great difference for him off road. Good stuff!
@AZdroptop Do you have the same mailing address as before? I am going to send you guys some Subaru gear. 🙂
Oh boy, I can't remember if we were in the new house when you sent the other stuff. :). Do you have 3622 N. ? If not you can shoot me an email azdroptopyt@cox.net Thank you so much for thinking of us!
@@AZdroptop 👍🙂
I sent you an email, not sure if you have the same one, but thank you so much for the box of Subaru stuff. You are too kind and I sincerely appreciate it! My son will love all of it. Thank you thank you.
Hah! Tuned into the you tube and it suggested this vid. Cool there's still a Xtrek in your life. Wife still has the 21 Sport lifted one inch.
Nice. Jack has been enjoying for quite some time and putting a lot of miles on it. I still like the Crosstreks!
@@AZdroptop My wife drives ours, I drive a 23 Bronco Wildtrak 2 door.
Cool, I think I remember you were looking forward to them coming out. How are you liking it?
@@AZdroptop Long story. On my third Bronco. LOVE IT!!! Here's a link to the one before my current one on @DrivingSportsTV's channel. What a capable and comfortable vehicle!! Watch the first half or so. Spoiler alert, the Sport isn't all that.

Awsome
Hey Rick, hope you and your family are doing good. Sorry, I haven’t been active reply your video due a lot on my plates so yeah… Cheers 😅🍻
Hey my friend, it is great to hear.from you. All is well on my end, busy myself. Hope life is going well for you!
I got the same kit on my trek
Very nice. Did you have any noise after install or issues getting the alignment true to spec?
How does a lift like that affect drive-shafts and CV joints? Does it cause extra wear on the CVs?
I think they would be okay if the lift maintains a similar angle to stock, but I honestly don't know. My son is going to find out. :).
So does the shock now bottom out before the bump stop or does this kit account for that?
I honestly do not know the answer to your question. Will have to ask my son. I am going to assume the coilover will bottom out first?
