I love how they call this a trainer, but that is a really nice looking model. I used to fly the real thing, but dang what a great way to just go out and have fun!
I never flew a 182, but did get checked out in a 172. I flew it out of Hobby in Houston and around Galveston, TX. Easy plane to fly. This model brings back good memories. Thanks for the review. As always, a fun and informative review. 👍👍😊
Hi from Samoa. I've got a few FMS planes lately - this one and the Easy Trainer V2 1280mm. I mostly have E flite though. I enjoy your detailed but constructive videos that explains everything clearly and honestly. I have subscribed to your channel and am starting to look over your many past contributions and look forward to your future endevours. Thank you. Regards, Peter
Nicely detailed chicken hawk. High wing planes are very stable and forgiving, but they get boring quick in my experience. I'd say the best thing about this trainer is the size because you will learn to handle the wind better.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Yep. Hot Glue or Foam Tac/UHU POR are best for FMS EPO foam. Toluene-containing Contact Cements tend to soften the foam (though our SuperEZ v4 luckily hardened up after the test glue evaporated properly) and should be avoided. The Reflex stab supplied with the FMS series is programmed for each plane that it is installed in and works very well.
Well done Captain!! (and great intro into the video BTW !!!) ; superb looking craft and loved the fact the Pilot even had a seatbelt on !!!!; maybe you should put a camera on "Tractor Man"; he can then be a meaningful part of the video !!!!!
I have always built my own planes of balsa and plywood and used glow engines but I recently bought the FMS 1700mm Super Cub and I really like it! I stays on floats most of the time however changing to wheels is a snap. I think that FMS are a notch about most of the electric foamy crowd.
This is a great looking airplane. I have one that I haven't pulled out of the box yet. Those sharp screws poking out of the top of the wing control surfaces for the control horns are strange, can't imagine that is what they had in mind for that. Screws they sent too long? I'll have to have a look at mine and see if it also ends up like that. If so, I'll have to cut the tips off or find some different screws. Thanks for the review, now more excited to get mine built, just haven't been flying over the summer here in Phoenix, just too hot but finally starting to cool off, at least in the mornings.
Great review! Totally love this little Cessna trainer! Btw: Correctly stated it's, "Probably could have *flown* ..., not ".. could have flew... " Ex.: When I flew RC planes in the past, I felt that I could have flown them for longer periods of time.
LOL! Aw Mate, you have to forgive our Canuck Cuzzns. It's been quite some time since the close ties to "the Old Country" have been loosened. Nowadays the the Gawd-awful American mangling of the English language leaks over the border like the cocaine trade. 🙄😜😁
Hey hey Captian You have been getting some really cool planes how about trying some thing a little different, like more balsa from other manufacturers. I really like how you present your models.
Thanks for another very nice video CaptainDrone. This plane looks great but unfortunately it seems sold out everywhere as far as I could see... Any hint on where else to get it and/or if it will be produced again in the near future would be great. Thanks
Hello sir steve , i have guestion can you fly this plane without the orange refex box exspecially the landings . like to hear your opinion . thanks for all your youtube content all the best to you

I assume the model you reviewed was the PNP model because I see you used a Spektrum transmitter and so therefore, you would have used a Spektrum receiver. Sorry if I missed it, but what receiver did you use please? Thank you.
Thank you for your prompt reply @@CAPTAINDRONE798 Can I ask which particular Spektrum 6 channel receiver it was please? Hope it's not getting too cold for you. I live in Samoa - 30C/86F all year!

I can’t mention the price of large items because the price does not apply in your country. You have to do the exact same thing that the millions of viewers do on RUclips every day…. CLICK ON THE LINK I PLACED BELOW THE VIDEO. When you click on the link it will then tell you the price for your area of the world.

Thanks for adding in the assembly part for us newbies. Really appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful!
I will likely look at this once I look seriously at an RC plane. Right now I'm loving my Mini 3 Pro.
Well Steve..... That looked great and easy to fly. 👍👍👍👍
Looking good Steve just wanted to say ive been loving all of the content recently. Also glad you werecable to get away and recharge.😊

Thanks as always, Cap'n - another thorough, informative review of what looks like a terrific plane 🙂
It's a great looking airplane Steve. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
That was cool!!! Short takeoff and easy landing. Good plane.
Coming in hot, nice landing Iceman
What a lovely friendly plane. Thanks Steve ✈️👍
Nice flight and good video sir! I like that you put the funny part first then the technical (putting it tougher and stuff) late on the video.
Thanks! 👍
Have a good week

Great job as always one of my favorite RUclips channel.
Thanks again!
Love this plane. This plane has been out for years. I bought one about 10 years ago before I could actually fly. It did not last long….
Foam Tac glue is an RC plane pilots best friend

Camera on Tractor Man…. I like it!
Very nice, scale looking plane. I would love to put and FPV camera in the cockpit too. With the clear windows, that would be easy peazy.

Very nice looking trainer. Is it capable of loops, rolls and inverted flight?
Yes, very much so. I did a roll in the video.

Yes. Spektrum works fine with FMS Reflex
Thanks.

I hope so, then he can prepare for his evil Spring return

What do you use to mount your cameras?
3M Double sided tape
Approximately how much time is needed for assembley?🤨
Depends on how often you assemble planes... For a newbie, could be over two hours. For someone who knows what they are doing, probably 15 minutes.
thank you so much@@CAPTAINDRONE798

A used DJI Mini 2 is your best bet
It calls for a 4S battery in their site
Are you mixing up planes?
I stumbled across where I can get one and even the price here in the filippines . It will cost me about 400 dollars , not too bad really .
Awesome!
You need a plane stand!
I got 8 minutes on the provided 2200 milliamp battery.
Tractor man has tractor beams
You said something about price but you did not say how much . I'm in the filippines , with all the crook customs I'm sure it will cost more .

Puedo colocar 4s 2200 amigo
Yes, but it is not recommended because the motor and ESC might get hot
Its too bad theres none in stock on their canadian site.
Wow! That sold out quickly. You could always order from GREAT HOBBIES. It takes about a week or two for the order to come in.
Ahh Steave it is a Drone . But its not a quadcoptor
