My son and I do a new knot together for each tie we buy or when we have mastered a knot and want to learn a new one.......its been fantastic bonding time for us and gives us a great appreciation and respect for your knowledge and expertise on the subject. Thanks for posting!
Patrick, I'm a retired wear ties during the week since I have about 200 ties from 33 years of teaching. My kiddos would have loved to see what knot I would wear the next day. Now, I just do it because it's fun and not the same boring knot. You d'man Patrick!
I love it! Wearing ties just for fun. I don't have to wear a tie to work and over the years I have become very relaxed in my professional clothes and wearing these knots have given me a reason to dress up and wear ties again as well. Thanks for watching Ron Derr and take care my friend.
You are awesome and fantastic. I am a school boy and I used to tie the Windsor knot every time. Not only me, but all my classmates wore that same ugly knot. I thought that the Windsor knot was the only knot that exists. But then I saw your channel and tried the Eldredge knot. All my friends were like "Cooolll!".. Thank you.....
Oh Yeah! Even the Velvet knot is feeling the love with reaching 100,000 views. Forget learning how to tie a Windsor knot when you can learn new ways to tie a tie right here on my channel.
Thanks Anatoliy Zhygarev. Thank you for bringing the Diamond knot to the world. I will be making your knot video soon to help spread the word. Take care my friend.
u r awesome, thanks to u learned to tie a tie and the first one i tried is van wijk knot, and so easy for me now to do that....i am trying velvet knot next...thank u so much, because of u i didnt had to ask any one,and those who made fun of me is asking now how to do that style.....i am going to study all ur knots
Arron Wittenburg. No big deal if you tie them left handed or right handed. You can either mirror what I do or do the opposite. Sorry I haven't mirrored any of my videos.
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) pls dont mirror them, or if you do label it clearly... though you could tell right away when the blade of the tie is on the other side. But anyway, mirrored videos are for people with no spatial manipulation abilities, screw those guys.
Thanks Scizor I'm glad you like it. I have about 70 more how to tie a tie videos at the moment and I promise to keep adding more as I learn them. Thanks for watching.
Wow ! Looooks so great sir. I ♡ your work. You'r awesome. Sir if you don't mind ,can i ask a question ? Q.how much money do you make on youtube by making such videos ? You answer will be appreciated. Thanks a ton. Keep up the good work.
Thank you ANDROID.ZEALOT.FERVOR . Answer: Not enough to quit my day job. I'm really doing this just for fun so the nominal amount that ad sense pays is just a bonus. I have read an article that ad sense pays anywhere from approximately $1-$10 per thousand views. The amount varies all the time. Thanks for watching and I will keep making more tie videos.
I tried this today and it looked great, until it started to untie itself. I think because my tie was to silky? I was able to pull it a bit tighter and it seemed to hold for the most part. Great knot!
Joel Penfield I'll consider it. I'm feeling hesitant only because I don't want it to be too much of the same video. Maybe I'll will do a playlist of the most popular knots and have them mirrored. What do you think? I say that because I have so many more knots to come....
only thing I would say for this one is that it would be easier to tell where the layers are if the video was in higher resolution, it was a bit difficult to tell but I think I've seen someone comment the same thing on other videos of yours and I'm sure it's something you're trying to do, but just thought I'd mention it just the same that the extra resolution would help :) Thanks as always sir :)
Hi Cliff Schofield . Funny that you mention it, but I'm working on it and hopefully I'll have something for you sometime this summer. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
I like your necktie videos but this has to be your worse one! You have a dark colored tie on a dark colored shirt. There's no contrast. Also, it looks nothing like the screenshot which is a bright pink tie on a dark blue shirt. Now that's what I was expecting the tutorial to use.
+eric slaw Thank you Eric for your feedback. I would like to think I have improved since my humble beginnings and that's not to say I have considered redoing some of the earlier videos. Would that be helpful?
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) you can just skip that line. We know that this is a youtube channel. You are not the first youtuber to say that every time.
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) I just told you a great idea. The line "this is my youtube channel" ( that is offending ) to change it to "Welcome to my youtube channel" ( that is very kind ) No one will get offended by that welcome! Just say thanks, and do it dude. Lol it's not so hard to do it!

That is so awesome and thank you for sharing your story. Happy knotting. :)

Found you looking for cool knots for a mates wedding... Thanks Dude!
***** Congratulations to your mate for getting married and it would be awesome if the groomsmen wore one of the new necktie knots.
That's the plan ..... something showy with out being obnoxious .....
i really like it.it is very modern fashion. Very Good job!!
Thanks roert87 I'm happy you like it.
Good job, Patrick! :)

Great. Getting the last loop tight and getting tucked is the secret to keeping this one lasting all day. Thanks for watching Elihu Stevens
I like it.
Thanks
hello all style you do in this channel is the great but has a very important point is if u can record your video with better quality thanks
Farzad Hakemi Great news. I have a new equipment and soon all my new videos will be in HD.
Love the videos and the knots as well, perhaps you could try mirroring your videos for ease of use for viewers? Thanks so much!
Joel Penfield . Would two versions of every video be too much? Mirrored and not mirrored.
Patrick Novotny Possibly...but mirrored is easier to follow along with if you are tying the knot while watching the video.
Joel Penfield I'll consider it. I'm feeling hesitant only because I don't want it to be too much of the same video. Maybe I'll will do a playlist of the most popular knots and have them mirrored. What do you think? I say that because I have so many more knots to come....
Patrick Novotny Sounds great...thanks so much for your consideration of my suggestion!
Joel Penfield Absolutely! I love doing this.
that is different.... never seen that and i like it.
Awesome. Thanks for watching Anthony Borrego

+Stephen Velner Thank you for your feedback and I have upgraded my camera and shoot everything in HD now. :) Thanks for watching.
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) I figured you probably upgraded, how recently did you do that?
+Stephen Velner About a little more than a year ago.
Like your knots but I travel and don't always have a laptop. It would be great if you had printable illustrated directions.
Hi Cliff Schofield . Funny that you mention it, but I'm working on it and hopefully I'll have something for you sometime this summer. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
Patrick Novotny Thanks for getting back to me. I'm looking forward to seeing your printed instructions
Good!
Maff Cerqueira Thank you.
nice
nice video , thank you , it`s agood way :)
You're Welcome mido apolela and thanks for watching. Take care.
:)
When is it best to wear this knot? :)
loyalarcher When you want to be noticed without saying a word. Someone else will start the conversation for you.
Mirrored please!
Try it with your other hand. I haven't mirrored my videos because I tie some knots left handed and/or right handed.
These are how my ties look when i mess up who knew?
Nice!
Seems like an overly complicated version of the Eric Glennie Braided knot, with the goal of consuming more fabric.
Bradley Witter . You are right. Sometimes it feels that way.
njo sse ve como la foto
Thanks.
Ну вот нихера не понятно(((

we know that this is your youtube channel you don't have to say it every time. It's stupid!!!
Sorry. I can't please everyone.
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) you can just skip that line. We know that this is a youtube channel. You are not the first youtuber to say that every time.
Or you can say ... (welcome to my youtube channel). Instead of ( this is my youtube channel)
This sounds much better!
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) I just told you a great idea.
The line "this is my youtube channel" ( that is offending ) to change it to
"Welcome to my youtube channel" ( that is very kind )
No one will get offended by that welcome! Just say thanks, and do it dude. Lol it's not so hard to do it!
I appreciate the constructive input. I kinda like the way you suggested actually and I will try to remember to say it that way. Thank you very much.
