    My son and I do a new knot together for each tie we buy or when we have mastered a knot and want to learn a new one.......its been fantastic bonding time for us and gives us a great appreciation and respect for your knowledge and expertise on the subject. Thanks for posting!

    Patrick, I'm a retired wear ties during the week since I have about 200 ties from 33 years of teaching. My kiddos would have loved to see what knot I would wear the next day. Now, I just do it because it's fun and not the same boring knot. You d'man Patrick!

      I love it! Wearing ties just for fun. I don't have to wear a tie to work and over the years I have become very relaxed in my professional clothes and wearing these knots have given me a reason to dress up and wear ties again as well. Thanks for watching Ron Derr and take care my friend.

    You are awesome and fantastic. I am a school boy and I used to tie the Windsor knot every time. Not only me, but all my classmates wore that same ugly knot. I thought that the Windsor knot was the only knot that exists. But then I saw your channel and tried the Eldredge knot. All my friends were like "Cooolll!".. Thank you.....

    Arron Wittenburg. No big deal if you tie them left handed or right handed. You can either mirror what I do or do the opposite. Sorry I haven't mirrored any of my videos.

    • @DDM-Nerd
      @DDM-Nerd 9 лет назад

      +Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) pls dont mirror them, or if you do label it clearly... though you could tell right away when the blade of the tie is on the other side. But anyway, mirrored videos are for people with no spatial manipulation abilities, screw those guys.

      Thank you ANDROID.ZEALOT.FERVOR .
      Answer: Not enough to quit my day job. I'm really doing this just for fun so the nominal amount that ad sense pays is just a bonus. I have read an article that ad sense pays anywhere from approximately $1-$10 per thousand views. The amount varies all the time.
      Thanks for watching and I will keep making more tie videos.

    I tried this today and it looked great, until it started to untie itself. I think because my tie was to silky? I was able to pull it a bit tighter and it seemed to hold for the most part. Great knot!

    • @PatrickNovotny
      @PatrickNovotny  10 лет назад

      Joel Penfield . Would two versions of every video be too much? Mirrored and not mirrored.

    • @joelpenfield5377
      @joelpenfield5377 10 лет назад

      Patrick Novotny Possibly...but mirrored is easier to follow along with if you are tying the knot while watching the video.

    • @PatrickNovotny
      @PatrickNovotny  10 лет назад

      Joel Penfield I'll consider it. I'm feeling hesitant only because I don't want it to be too much of the same video. Maybe I'll will do a playlist of the most popular knots and have them mirrored. What do you think? I say that because I have so many more knots to come....

    • @joelpenfield5377

    only thing I would say for this one is that it would be easier to tell where the layers are if the video was in higher resolution, it was a bit difficult to tell but I think I've seen someone comment the same thing on other videos of yours and I'm sure it's something you're trying to do, but just thought I'd mention it just the same that the extra resolution would help :) Thanks as always sir :)

    I like your necktie videos but this has to be your worse one! You have a dark colored tie on a dark colored shirt. There's no contrast. Also, it looks nothing like the screenshot which is a bright pink tie on a dark blue shirt. Now that's what I was expecting the tutorial to use.

      +Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) I just told you a great idea.
      The line "this is my youtube channel" ( that is offending ) to change it to
      "Welcome to my youtube channel" ( that is very kind )
      No one will get offended by that welcome! Just say thanks, and do it dude. Lol it's not so hard to do it!
