What a very nice version of this beloved song. If it had been released years earlier in the 1960's, it might have charted and gotten some airplay. But by 1969, it did not have a chance with all the psychedelic music getting on the air. What a shame for the Honeys.
One of the Honey's, Marilyn Rovell was married to Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. They divorced a long, long time ago though. Difficult being married to a famous music rock star, especially at the height of their career.
Marylin sure know how to put you in the mood these songs her sister and cousin. He had Dave Mark's and Dean Torrance here in August and the concert was crappy. Because the uptown kids was singing stupid songs I never heard of. And we did not have Al Jardine plus not very much people. Marylin I like your family and owl picture you took. Daniel is lucky to have you. Wayne Johnston
Carl Moore Diane (middle) is the oldest of the three Rovell sisters. Marilyn (left) is the middle sister and Barbara (not shown) is the youngest. Diane and Marilyn were in The Honeys with their cousin, Ginger Blake (right). She was Brian Wilson’s first wife and is the mother of Carnie and Wendy Wilson of the group Wilson-Phillips. The third member of Wilson-Phillips is Chynna Phillips, whose parents, John and Michelle, were both members of the group The Mamas & the Papas.
You can hear the Brian Wilson production and the additional vocal arrangement. This is a gem!
Hundreds of artists have covered this song but The Honeys version is by far the best in so many ways.
i agree with that 100%
Absolutely!
Yes, of course. I'm absolutely agree with you. this version, for many reasons, is the best since ever and forever.
The Jerk with Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters brought me here the Ukulele and Trumpet always gets me

Marilyn Wilson is formerly Rochelle and is Diane's sister, right? Marilyn is Brian Wilson's 1st wife.
