Wow! I finally took a look at what this is after ignoring it on my computer all this time It looks like something I would have had a lot of fun playing with as a kid. Heck, I might have fun playing with it now!
I was wondering if there was a method of processing a sequence of images using 3d Builder to achieve a 3d version of each image? is it possible to write a script?
GentlemanCrafterUK ive tried but like i dont see like a convenient wireframe mode where you can like just draw the lines. Ive like used a cube then exracted to slowly make it my own but i much rather create the model itself.
Ah I see. No this is not that kind of program. There is a wireframe view but you are building objects from a set of shapes. To create and edit wireframe you will be needing autocad software.
Interesting. Would the 3D draw be useful with a 3D printer? Would one be able to take the design created and work it in Brother Scan n Cut Canvas or Inkscape to create a SVG file? I have the new update for windows 10 and did see the 3d creation program. I did look at it but seemed a bit beyond me. Thank you for showing how to work with in it. Will be giving it a try now that I see your video. Thanks again, Fawna
3D Builder would not work with the Scan N Cut as it only exports in 3D file formats and does not save in either SVG or FCM. 3D Builder is very useful with a 3D printer as that is what it is designed for. You may be able to print directly from it or you may have to take the file into your printer's software first.
Ok thank you for your information. Are you on Create and Craft? I though that was you demonstrating the 3d printer. If so it really peeked my interest. Yes I think the little 3d creations would be wonderful on a card with other designs made with the scan n cut. I have two scan n cut machines and love them both. I think a 3d printer is my next new toy☺ Thank you for replying back. Fawna
@@GentlemanCrafterUKthank you so much for entertaining my question. I'm designing a Hull of a ship in which the edges of the ship is curved and I'm having a hard time in designing the curved edges
I see. Whilst I would have suggested a couple of things, like turning a cylinder on its side or importing and extending an SVG file, I'll be honest and don't feel that this software has the editing power or tool set to cope with such a complex project. Have you tried Blender? It's a bit of a steep learning curve but its free and is absolutely feature packed.
@@princealaddin8423 Sadly it is not possible to load reference images in 3D Builder, as you would in other 3D software. Also it is not possible to edit individual vertices in 3D Builder and so the kind of modelling that you are looking to achieve is not possible in 3D Builder.
3d builder stalls out terribly when trying to merge or repair. Microsoft has done nothing to fix this and complains co as far back as 2017 that I've seen. Only way around is to totally restart that particular section that's broken. It cant handle complex anything. Good to start bu ultimately shit
Thank you for taking the time to do this very informative video. I have Windows 10 but didn't know about this software.
Many thanks for this. I had no idea I had such a powerful tool lurking in my computer.

Thank you Sir.

I haven't seen any options to use scripts within 3D Builder.
i want to make my own models from scratch. is it possible in 3d builder
This depends on how you want to create them but yes, most things are possible. It's free so why not just try?

Can you mold a 3D shape like clay??
Not with this app.

What kind of helmet?
@@GentlemanCrafterUK Iron man..I saw many people model helmet using images only. I am new to this and only have 3d builder.
