Add a teaspoon of oil to the bowl to reduce foaming and use the vegetable water on your garden.

good to see an honest review and echos my thoughts on seeing this, looks a rare mis step. The Thermomix is the best thing in my kitchen, love it, this looks like a pointless addition that doesn't solve anything unless you have dexterity issues.

Thanks Paul, I totally agree. If you have arthritis or such like it would be useful.

@@jennifermason if they're available Down Under, look into the Zena Star Peeler (not the option with the stainless blade). Lots of demos here on RUclips and it's easier on the hands for those with dexterity problems.

I came to the same conclusion before even trying. However, I can see it being very useful for someone who has difficulty using a manual peeler, eg. Bad arthritis, Dupuytrens etc.

Thanks for the honest review, I've just won the peeler and I'm excited aniways because I can use it as a blade cover.

Just bought a TM6, subscribed to your channel because of your honesty. It does look to me to be mostly aimed at people with issues (My grandmother couldn't peel a potato with a manual peeler so this would be very useful) so I think it 100% has a market, But probably not for me.
The other use it has on the website is for slow cooking, do you know if it actually makes a difference when slow cooking as the normal cover is no longer avialable in the UK

Hi 👋🏻 yes it is good for slow cooking as it will stop the contact with the blades 👌🏻

For me as a disabled person, this is handy even if I may need to a little 'cleaning up' of the potatoes afterwards. Thanks for the review.

I used it for sweet potato on TM6 using the standard setting on peeler function. There was a lot of potato pulp. My main concern is wastage of the potato itself.

Thanks for the video. Great to see an honest review. I have lots of small potatoes from the allotment which are both hard to clean fully and to peel. How do you think the attachment would work with these potatoes? Btw - I've watched quite a few Thermo videos and yours is one of the best :)

Thank you 🙏🏻 yes it should work ok, only prob if they are very small you might not have much potato left 😅

Yes, but four minutes on a really noisy setting is a bit much.

Ik ben heel tevreden van de peeler , moestuin aardappeltjes. Ik gebruik niet zoveel water als u. Terwijl de peeler werkt kan ik andere dingen doen in de keuken Gr jo uit België

Would it peel onions and garlic? Could those be peeled at the same time? That would be a great add on for us - we use a lot of onions and garlic in the same dishes.

No, it basically grates the skin, there is a way to get the skins off though. Let me look it up for you…..

thanks for the video i thinking of getting this to slow cook mince meat for a bolognaise, do you think it will do that ok?

    • @jennifermason
      @jennifermason  10 месяцев назад +1

When you do a Bol without one the meat becomes tiny little pieces. It should help to stop the break down to a degree but I still think due to cooking times it will still break down a bit. My solution is to pan fry the mince and add to the sauce In the last five mins.
