If you’re not comfortable falling, you are not comfortable surfing and will stagnate in your surfing. If you can’t fail, you can’t learn. If you don’t try, you’ll never succeed. This all sounds cliche but the sad reality is most surfers are stuck in a comfort zone where they never try anything, are too afraid to risk a wipeout and constantly play it safe.

I went out and bought a foamie this summer gone, and it helped me do more stupid shit, and wipe out a lot. Now my commitment to going harder on my other boards has definitely gone up a notch.
