When it comes to making big power, there are a lot of moving pieces and people that make it all come together! A lot of the motorcycles we work on are utilizing turbo chargers. Turbo chargers are very intricate pieces of art that need to be handled with care. Over time, your turbo charger may start to lose it's charm and need to be rebuilt and/or serviced. BoostLab in Tampa is the place to go for turbo rebuilding. They have been a great partner on some of these builds since they bring a huge amount of expertise on turbochargers. Today, we make a visit to Kirk over at boostlab to go over some motorcycle turbos we have. One for a gsxr1000 and one for a zx14r. These are two motorcycle builds that we're excited to get finished up and these turbos are a key component to these bike builds. Kirk was kind enough to talk us through some of the specifics to turbo chargers. What turbo bearing is best, what type of turbo you need for a motorcycle, different variations of turbos, how a turbo oils and cools itself and more. If you're interested in learning more about turbo chargers, he's your guy! Can you turbo charge your motorcycle? How much power does a turbo charger make? If you have any other questions or FAQ about motorcycle turbos, leave a comment below and we'll try to answer them for you in the future! Thanks for watching this moto shop vlog and we'll see you in the next one!
