@shugo1047 The only advantage of a smaller form factor is portability and saving space if you need it. Most of the people who want to get a pc aren't thinking of that stuff. They aren't planning to move the PC often and they want it to look good on their desk, which ATX builds do better because big glass side panel RGB oga boga 😅. There is also the fact that matx parts tend to be more expensive (not always ofc), especially the cases. From the perspective of a new builder it's easy to see why a lot of people gravitate towards the standard ATX setup.

    • @technodronesogxl9783

@user-ke1gn3ql1g Exactly, When I build Iwant space and not have things cramped together. I want it to look pretty and clean. My CORSAIR 1000D checks all of those boxes and it can't be beat in airflow and in looks.
I have more than enough storage for hard drives and ssd drives without feeling the need for extra storage drive cases.

Been looking at cases for price/performance, and these new Flux's are RIGHT up my street. The price point is pretty fair, I bought the H500M in 2019 for £181.02 in Oct 2019, yeah... just before Covid lol... then the prices of everything shot up as everyone needed a PC to work from home. Also long before GPU sag became a "mainstream problem", GPU sag has always been an issue but most people didn't talk about it. The H500M has a GPU arm which can be used to address GPU sag pretty easily. So, yeah it's pretty fair given you get a tonne of space and modularity not to mention the lower fans will certainly help in cooling M.2s as well.

    Professional Woodworker here:
There is no way to completely avoid wood warping. Even perfectly kiln dried and sealed, moisture will still permeate and cause warping. Ive made tabletops with kiln dried lumber with up to 20 layers of polymer lacquer to seal them and still saw some warping, because some lumber just has a lot of internal stress. With such small pieces it shouldn't be too big an issue in most cases. But especially if the sheet metal is thin and flat and the wood is glued in, a lot of these wood accent cases are going to see some minor bowing/cupping due to the woods moisture expansion.

Also, I can't overstate how much of a difference putting two 140mm fans in the bottom of a case can make- Having that fresh air blowing directly into a GPU with a normal/ horizontal mount doesn't only cool the GPU, it also cools the rest of the case (including my top mount AIO).

I have the Antec C8 in white/aluminum. Built in it about a month ago and love it!
I was in a Hyte Y60 case but I went from a 3060 to a 4080 Super and there just wasn’t enough airflow in the Y60. When I bought the Y60, they didn’t offer the Y70 yet.
Only thing I hate right now is my AIO. It’s a Corsair H150 LCD in black and wish it was in white. Maybe one day I can get the Link AIO.
I also want to get 3 more QX120 fans as I am using a push/pull on the top and using 3 QX120 and reusing 3 LL120 fans.
I plan on having this build for about 4-5 years.
I was laughing one day when someone made a comment on a video about how no one is going to spend the money for an Antec case with them being “a little, unknown, no name company”. 😂😂. I’m responded that Antec is older than 90% of the companies out there. And have been making cases for 40 years.
Most brand name generic computers were in Antec cases back in the day.

Considering what you are getting this seems like a bargin. 6 fans, 4 of which are huge, make this a steal. You're getting a $100 case with $90 worth of fans. I can only imagine how awesome an aircooled system would be. That level of air flow would be sick to see.

The a5 argb also comes with 7 fans for $130. Not noctua levels of quiet but look good and with a custom curve can be quiet

To fill up a Corsair 5000X with iCue fans it's more like 300 bucks (just the fans, then another 180 for the case).

The Antec 900 is an all-time classic. I built and re-built in that for a VERY long time... only stopping because I went SFF. If Antec reissued that with modern cabling, I'd buy one again.

This is nice. I remember building old school AMD Barton and or P3's and 4. Antec was the only game around with high end power supplies.
    Bought many of em.

I have a Black Hyte Y60 case right now and I want to keep it (as my Gaming Rig and it's all water cooled) but I am working on a new Content Creation PC build (currently in planning phase) and this Case really checks all the boxes for having a 2nd water cooled PC that looks as beautiful as the Top End Parts that will go into it. As far as RGB, I could go with none or just a subtle strip that just adds a touch of light on the interior which wouldn't be too gaudy in my opinion. Cheers! Stay Healthy and Stay sane!

I still have their P101 case, one of the very few cases that featured silence as well as offering an optical drive bay. So cool they're back! The front reminds me a lot of a speaker cabinet for a record player. Absolutely love that as a music nerd as well. Definitely want this case!

All good Jay, appreciate your insights. I love cases like this where it doesn't have to be glass everything and you could put a super entry level or elite high end PC in the case without compromise. Keep up the good work. I had a few Antec cases, including the aluminum case with the plastic side pannels with the 2 easy release turning locks. I think Linus showed off a picture of one of his PCs he built in the same case which reminded me it was Antec.

Oh man, I've literally got an Antec P180 (and TP-750) sitting on the floor next to my TV. That tank of a case got me through high school, college, the first few years of solo living, and multiple LAN parties and system (re)builds throughout. At this point, it's more dust than gaming PC, the side panels are warped and the plastic tabs are snapped off, and it was always a bear to cable manage. But I definitely got my money out of it.

I always recommend my friends to use Antec cases for the builds, aspecially there cheaper once because, although they are cheap in price, you can see that they have a lot of value for the money, and their quality is pretty good, especially compare to other cheap entry level cases on the market.

I never understood/liked wood on PC cases, but this doesn't look too bad. It actually looks pretty great in my opinion. And it's nice to see it can fit bigger parts with no problem! Nice review. I would have to seriously consider this case if I decide to change the current one.
