Well thank you! The best video on RUclips, that’s high praise! I hope I can live up to it ha! But I’m glad you enjoyed the video and hopefully it helped you out if you want to hook up multiple gaming consoles to one TV.
Have four systems myself all hooked up. AV splitter for my SNES and N64, and the RF for Atari 2600 and NES chained together. Very nice to switch systems within seconds and two or three button presses at the most, and play what you want and when you want to. And I must say, Kaboom for Atari is still as addictive and crazy as it ever was.
I'd imagine connecting the AV switch to a RetroTink 2X Pro and the 2X Pro into one of the HDMI ports would be the best route in this case. I'm 98% sure it lets you adjust the aspect ratio too.
Hello. Yes. We bought that from Wal Mart. I put a link in the video description for the entertainment cabinet. It’s a Better Homes and Gardens cabinet.
I think it was pointless trying to hook up the PlayStation 1 Game Console if you can PlayStation 1 Games on the Playstation 2 Game Console and on the PlayStation 3 Game Console whether it is on disc or downloaded digitally from PlayStation Store but i thank you very much for showing what materials that i may need because i have multiple video game consoles myself except for the original Nintendo unfortunately. I am not much of a XBOX fan but i do have the Microsoft Xbox only reason I gotten that was because of the Bruce Lee Quest of the Dragon Game but i have the rest of the ones that you named in your video.
I know this video is old but I have to warn you, your ps4 slim is not getting any circulation in the area you chose for it and neither is the xbox 360 E. The ps4 slim captures air from the sides and pushes hot air out the back, you are blocking the circulation in the area you chose. The xbox 360 E probably does the same but regardless they just need more room.
If you have a TV with three or four HDMI hookup say PlayStation 3 PlayStation 2 and retron can it just go on the HDMI switches on the back of the TV instead of your HDMI switches with the wire with three hdmi hookups or would it be easier just one HDMI wire 2 to 3 or 4 HDMI hookups in the back of the TV basically PS3 PS2 and a retron that has super Sega super Nintendo Nintendo would it be easier just to connect them to the HDMI in the back of the TV I apologize for my confusion I have a learning disability I was hit by a car at 7 years old in the face
I sure couldn’t get it to work. I bought 3 because I had 3 consoles with HDMI hookups that I thought I could get to convert to AV. None of them worked at all. Maybe a different brand might work, but I haven’t checked that out. Just went with an HDMI 1 input - 3 output adapter instead.
Have you try connecting multiple consoles into a laptop? Say switch and stream them all at the same time? If not what do you think kind of equipment would be needed for that to happen?
COMPOSITE VIDEO DOESNT LOOK GOOD ON MODERN TV...S-VIDEO OR COMPONENT CABLE ARE A BETTER OPTION...OR HYPERKIN OR POUND HDMI CABLES ARE BETTER THAN COMPOSITE...
I had to subscribe this is single handedly the best video I’ve ever seen on RUclips and you seem like such a great guy thanks for this info

@@RayPruitt-ji9jx That’s awesome! An Atari is one system I don’t have hooked up. I’ve got one, in a box, but it just isn’t hooked up right now.
Clear and thought out road test of a daunting task. Thanks very much.
Thank you! I sure hope the video helped you out.
I don't know anything about hooking up modern consoles, but this guy seems to know what he's talking about, so I believe him.
Modern consoles are the easiest to hook up. Just power supply and a HDMI cable.
The older generation's are more difficult.
The Xbox officially supports composite out. The headphone jack-looking port on the back is the composite out port.
Very nice setup! Thanks for the tips.
You’re welcome! Thank you for stopping by!
Thx for this video now I could play my PS2 and GameCube on my tv :)
Great! Glad you found the video useful and it helped you out.
@@Maxonum yeah I ordered the stuff on amazon
Good video bro, keep up the good work!
Thank you very much!
Nice explanation! Thank you 😁
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully it helped you out!
This helped out so much thanks:)
Excellent! Let me know if you have any more questions about the set up!
Thank you! This helped me out so much!
You're welcome!
Just what I need! THANK YOU!
Great! I’m glad it helped you out!
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help you out!
thank you well said, and a great video too 😊 👍
Thank you kindly! I'm glad you found this video helpful!
QUESTION: why are you using the AV switch for the HDMI capable consoles on a modern flatscreen TV? 🤔
Lazily trying to get all systems onto the 8 port AV switch. Then I only had a 3 input HDMI switch, and could only hook up 3. Yes sir.
I'd imagine connecting the AV switch to a RetroTink 2X Pro and the 2X Pro into one of the HDMI ports would be the best route in this case. I'm 98% sure it lets you adjust the aspect ratio too.
Eu gostei vou fazer no meus consoles valeu🎉
I might get an Xbox one x and I already have a PS5, and I don’t want to keep unplugging each of them everytime I wanna switch, so thanks mate!
Glad I could help! Let me know if you have any questions on hooking anything up. Thanks for watching!
can you record still with a elgato with the hdmi consoles being set up like this?
Yes you sure can. The HDMI connection is just an input into the Elgato card.
Do you have a link to the entertainment center cabinet where you put all the consoles?
Hello. Yes. We bought that from Wal Mart. I put a link in the video description for the entertainment cabinet. It’s a Better Homes and Gardens cabinet.
@@Maxonum thanks dude

yeah bro thanks im hoping to get a ps4 soon and do this
Yes, I'm worried about overheating for sure. I needed to buy a bigger cabinet for these consoles!

Hooking a PlayStation 3 up through composite cables is just criminal 😂
Ha! Yes it is!
That was my exact thought. Maybe a 4 heart HDMI splitter would be appropriate in this case. Might as well use the best connection available.
Did you know that you could actually play your PlayStation 1 Games that you have on disc on your PlayStation 3 Game Console?
So the hdmi av cord won’t do it for the switchbox?
I sure couldn’t get it to work. I bought 3 because I had 3 consoles with HDMI hookups that I thought I could get to convert to AV. None of them worked at all. Maybe a different brand might work, but I haven’t checked that out. Just went with an HDMI 1 input - 3 output adapter instead.
@@Maxonum I now think they hdmi converters are for the consoles.
Oh yeah. I can see that. It’s an AV to HDMI converter, but taking the signal the other way probably doesn’t work. I learn something new every day!
Have you try connecting multiple consoles into a laptop? Say switch and stream them all at the same time? If not what do you think kind of equipment would be needed for that to happen?
I'm in the same process but i have a lot more consoles to connect.
Well good luck! Hope you get them connected without any problems. Thank you for watching and hope you enjoyed this video.
Like the Playstations do ya?
Best gaming consoles ever! PlayStation!
I don’t but I know that Boyd guy up there does!
