Due to the power limitations 125's performance hasn't really changed since the late 80's early 90's, gone are the days of the Aprilia RS or Cagiva mito hitting the 100mph, however the improvements to the driver aids on the top of the range bikes seem to have no limits.
Congratulations Miss, now the fun begins 🙂 That pain in your left hand will ease over time, but remember not to grip too tight, keep it loose but firm ;-)
Congrats Lavi !! I got my learners permit not long ago at age 75. I used to ride 50 years ago but I was very nervous at the school. As soon as I got the bike moving my confidence returned. Perhaps I made a stupid choice but my bike is a heavy beast, a BMW 1100RT. Riding it makes me feel young again. Cheers !!

Yey me too! Me and my bf just finished a 26,000km ride through South America riding pillion. I decided to go for my A license when i got home and am currently legal on the road on my own bike, it feels so good! Next stop - Central America on two bikes with our dog 😂 Stay safe on the road guys!

Makes me so happy to see! With the graduated licensing, is she limited to 125cc for two years, or, can she pursue licensing during the two years to a bigger motor? It's crazy how in the US here, you just take you course and are valid for any size motorcycle. Likely, a dealer shouldn't/probably wouldn't sell a very large bike to someone new and/or young, but it wouldn't be illegal!

Congrats Lavi. The world awaits. However, sooner or later you’re going to have to learn to properly drop and fall from the driver’s seat instead of the pilion. That’s a more advanced technique for later. Ride safe. Have fun.
Yeah, it is a weird feeling riding a small bike where you can't see any bike in front of you when you're used to a V-Strom. I've been looking forward to this video for a while as I knew it would be coming! As an instructor here in Australia, I've been keen to see the process in the UK. It is a lot different! We don't take them on the road at all in the first part of the training process. They spend 2 days in the car park with a mixture of classroom modules and riding around cones. Then they have their learners and can ride on the road with a full licenced supervisor, but not on their own. After 3 months they can return to get their restricted licence which is a full day course building on the skills they've already learned and removing any bad habits they've picked up. In that one, we take them out on the road. But still not at highway speeds! It seems like a lot of progress to make in one day as a student in the UK system. From zero experience to riding on the roads! Well done Lavi! You did amazing!

i see a lot of complaints and comments on how hard and expensive it is to get a full bike licence with all the tests you need to do, and having had to go through the process myself i used to think that, until i started riding in earnest, when i realised how much you don't know what you don't know, and compared to the YT vids from around the world think the hoops we have to jump through in the UK are on balance worth the hassle to at least give new riders a better sense of competancy & safety. GL with the biking future Lavi.
